There was a post on Facebook last week about potential Stargate sequel
movies (again) so why not hang out? It's not like we've been overrun
with trolls (yet).

Proper sequels or those idiotic ones from before that were going to ignore
the TV shows. :-\
No idea.

Technically, a proper sequel WOULD ignore the TV show, since the TV
shows actually completely ignored the original movie. ;)
The TV show did make some contradictory changes, but it didn't completely
ignore the original movie.
Ping-ping-ping ... wow, what a deflection to a different topic. Almost
worthy of a pinball machine. ;-)
We were talking about the original Stargate movie starring Kurt Russell
and James Spader. The people who created that were talking of doing sequel
movies that ignored the Stargate SG-1 TV show ... no doubt as sour grapes
since they sold the TV rights and now regret it after four TV series and
multiple TV-movies, as well as the various series of books.

According to Variety, from long ago (say 6 or so months?) the movie
deal died in the concept phase when most of the major funders bailed
when they learned that it wouldn't follow the SG1 canon but would try
to run its own timeline. I couldn't imagine trying to watch a movie
that started "the next day" (or even decade) without thinking of SG1.
And the outifts who would be throwing money probably felt the same
way.

Ha Ha ha!...of course you're refering to me. Ha ha! What I was saying
was that I was the one who protested The Original Stargate's tendency
towards militaristic colonialism. Americans crossing the galaxy, using
other people's technology, to overthrow other people's....black
people's....governments.
G'ould, Sch'mould...look me in the eye and tell me that fact that Ra
being black didn't play a part in O'Niel's aggression agaainst him.
Don't even pretend, we're living the life, now. If Ra were white, the
screenwriter would have done the whole thing differently. Deny it, go
ahead...I won't get mad. It's only been about 15 year
As for the high deathcount among preteens in the cast, that's your
fetish, not mine.

???- "...Ra attacked the united States??!!" Y'see this is what I'm
saying, you got to throw away that stem, mutha-fucka. The whole
fiighting took place on Ra,s front porch.
