I can't believe this post. The guy is bitching about something that is
free, posted by someone who spent hours to capture, encode and upload to
multiple sites.and all this on a doorstop computer.
Most people don't have high speed modems. This file is for them. That is
what my web site has been about for the last 3 years! If you want VCD
quality then wait for a post that says 350mb in the subject line. You
knew it was 44 meg as it's in the file description post. You knew it was
not VCD quality and yet you chose to download it. I did not force you.
Since when is there a limit as to how low a capture can be? Imagine the
complaining this guy would do if he ever saw my 20meg videos encoded on
the fly and uploaded 15minutes after the show aired.
Want me to do VCD's? Send me a P4. Don't like the alternative theme
song, then forget about 607 cause that's gonna have the McHale's Navy's
music with the opening credits...your favorite!
---Ranting Ends---
Those people are bloody idiots! They tell you to stop being stingy and get
ADSL without considering one important fact: I CAN'T GET ADSL OR CABLE. The
complete idiots. I am so very thankful for V&S and the Osiris encodes - They
are a godsend for a modem user living in the UK.
I think the alternate opening credits music is wonderful! I have a lot of
SG-1 Episodes downloaded, and just hearing the normal SG-1 them gets boring
after a while! It's great to hear something new!
Keep up the amazing work!

Hoping for V&S to have Buffy S7 when it airs - otherwise he will need to
download 100Mb per episode! AGGGHHHH!
Aaww.... <gives Kevin a big hug> People like that are all idiots, just
ignore them and instead remember those of us who really appreciate what
you're doing for the fans.

You can count me in on that too Kev, you don't need to do what you do, you
don't need to stay up half the night putting it all together, but I for one
and I know Eva too, really, *really* appreciate it. It means that we can

And i'm not sure where it's from, but the opening theme song sounded like
the one from buffy with the electric guitar.
I'd like to know in which country is this the normal theme song.
MacGuyver had a theme song?
The show is edited in Montreal as they do the language dubbing at the
same time. Once in a while those in english Canada get to hear different
theme music which is a common thing in Quebec since they have not agreed
to the Digital Copyright Act. I believe it started in the late 70's when
the theme to Dallas was used for Barney Miller.
But it's not a naval show. It should have an air force-y type theme.

I don't think it would bug the fans as much as it would bug RDA ;)

I got the impression that RDA didn't mind always being recognized as
MacGyver.
And as for the MacGyver theme song. I don't know how much it would
bother him, but he is the one who wrote it.

You'd better believe it had a theme song! And why would it bug RDA fans?
da-na-na-na-na-na-naaa na-na-naaa na-na-naaa na-na-na-na... You get the
picture. Visuals showing various RDA action shots, a pose on a plane
propellor, then culminating in "Macgyver" in front of a space explosion.
I'm his biggest fan! - I bought my bomber scarf to be *just* like him (From
the Macgyver brown leather jacket days; Macgyver graduated to the black
leather jacket and baggier jeans in later episodes) I *almost* invited him
to my formal :) ... too much sharing there right?

I'm curious to hear it so please could you send it to me, Connie? :-) My

tape won't get here before Christmas.

Actually in the perfect world, a "little black dress" and Macgyver's/RDA's
leather jacket :)
In the real world, some rouched thing made up of all the features I liked in
various dresses at the time (thank god I couldn't work the bubble skirt into
the design) which I look back at in extreme horror now. I think the fashion

We have a direct drinks supply in Connie's bunker, if you're interested,
Megan. I've just been putting up a few pictures of Jack in the new bedroom
Connie built.....
*Love* to - thanks for the invite. What can I bring as a
bunker-bedroom-warming-gift? Or have you already decorated the place
just-so?
I'm afraid I have no new Jack piccies to contribute - but I could bring my
SG1 patches and RDA-celebrate-Wylie's-birth-pink-cap along to strategically
place on a bookshelf?

I wasn't sure about *that* one <points> but I thought it reflected the

Interesting isn't it?
It always cracked me up how Macgyver would grab a fallen gun and chuck it
behind him - didn't want it anywhere near him. I was always telling him to
at least *hide* it but he wouldn't listen...
Whereas with Jack - give him a honking big gun and he couldn't be happier!
Interesting too that they both have a tragic event in their pasts that
propel them in different directions for different reasons. In case the tapes
don't show... Macgyver is anti-guns because as a child, a friend of his died
when they were stuffing around with one of their Dad's guns. And another
in-case-you-didn't-know, Macgyver wants to be known only as Macgyver because
his first name is.... Angus.

So I am hearing. Oh dear, all this talk is making me want to dig out those
tapes I have and endure the *** movies again. I suppose I could also watch
the one where RDA plays a killer to balance things out a bit. I wish they

Even though I am/was Macgyver's biggest fan :) I must admit that the moveis
were a little hard to stomach. The episodes had more character stuff whereas
the movies were more scenario based and sometimes a tad weak.
And I have never seen the movie where he played a killer - if he was too
convincing it would colour all other characters I see him play! (Like I
can't get passed De Niro being evil or a thug)

When I was in Vancouver back in 98 on holidays I was more of a focused XF
fan. But I was riding along the water after cycling around Stanley Park and
I saw all these trailers parked. I wandered over and got to chatting to a
guy who it turns out was the on-set first-aid-and-something-else guy. Well
he told me I was lucky to stumble across them filming on location that day -
episode "Holiday" - and that Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge were on
set up on such-and-such street. (Alas I wasnt' focused enough then to knwo
who they were :( ) So I finished cycling out to Kitsilano Beach then
decided to check it out on the way back. I caught up with the same guy - I
was offered and ate one of another set guys home-cooked biscuits! - had
Michael Greenburg pointed out to me (and described as Sharon Sont'e ex!) -
and the first-aid guy apologised that he couldn't get me an RDA autograhed
photo today as they were in RDA's trailer and as he wasn't filming the
trailer wasn't here. But that he could get me some patches if I was
interested? Was I! So I got two different patches. And he also brought me
back a cap. When Wylie was born RDA had a pink and grey cap made up for
*everyone* from the show - he' sgot a mate who does the caps. And so the
first-aid guy said I could have his. And he also gave me a call sheet for
"Holiday". I saw MS smoke in a chair outside (for some reason I was
surprised to see him smoke? Go figure.), then watched a bit more then headed
off. So that's the story! The follow up is that I had had someone take a
photo of me on my bike at the Beach, and when I got home and developed the
photo I realised I looked like such a major *git*! Bike helmet. Sneakers and
socks. Denim skorts. Did wonders no doubt for the Australian fashion image.

ROFL. It is perfect.
And actually the thing that came to mind was along the lines of these
pictures that were in the ladies room of a restaurant I was in the
other night. The restaurant was called "The Firehall" and the
pictures were of gorgeous looking topless firemen, pin-up calendar
style. I'm sure you can picture them. Perhaps we want to make up an
SGC calendar? Some fund-raising for the ng?

The movies were a nice reminising thing if you were a MacGyver fan
from before. But I agree the show itself was better.

I saw that movie and boy was it freaky/scarry to was RDA play a
killer. He had the long hair like Mac and as most horror/suspense
movies start the "bad guy" is always acting nice before you find out
he is a killer. <shivers run down her spine> RDA played it really
well.

imply that it isn't used around here, I just may be out of the loop on
such things.

And of course there's the 'couldn't start a fire in a match factory'

minds Fergus, and that's practically the same name ("man of
energy/power").
