"There's one season 3 Stargate episode called Dead Man's Switch, which
features our intrepid heroes being captured by an alien bounty hunter named
Aris Boch. One by one, he explains to them all individually why the Goa'uld
want them dead. Lastly, he informs Jack O'Neill that the Goa'uld want him
dead because "Frankly, you're just a pain in the mitka."
Jack looks at Daniel for translation, saying, "Neck?"
"No," says Daniel blandly, and everyone knows immediately what 'mitka'
means. But what's the twist on this? The director of this episode was called
Andy Mitka! A subtle reference to what the writers thought of him..."

"Alright...
In the episode called "Small Victories" (Part 2) we see a couple of Russian
guys on a sub talking Russian. Knowing Russian, I see that they are (very
badly) talking about "what the heck is that noise in there"?
Then when the guy opens the little door thing and ooks, the other one says,
"Maybe that's the insect from the previous episode?"

"In the season 5 episode "Threshold",somewhere in the middle, we see a room
with a lotof seemingly randomly-placed candles. A few seconds later, through
the glass, we see General Hammond talking to someone. Look carefully at the
reflection of the candles in the glass window - the candles in the
reflection are arranged tolook like the letters "PD" - for Peter DeLuise".

"Peter DeLuise started directing episodes in the third season. In every
episode he directs, he also appears briefly in a cameo. In "Hide and Seek"
he can be seen as a machine-gunner next to the Stargate. In "Urgo" when the
alien computer program Urgo (played by Dom Deluise) changes his appearance
to be more appealing, he briefly appears as Peter DeLuise (a double egg!).
In "Window of Opportunity" Peter can briefly be seen helping Daniel Jackson
pick up some papers. And in "Tangent" he is a guard in the background as
Hammond comes down some stairs".

Andy Mikita. According to IMDB.com

"Niktah" is apparently a Goa'uld slang word, equivalent to "ass." According
to Gateworld.

I believe the word was "nikta", which is why O'Niell guessed "neck"

According to SG-1 Transcipts, no such dialog exists in Small Victories.

"Small Victories", first scene. I'll take the guy's word for it, but next time
I
watch the episode, I'll check for myself, since I speak Russian as well.

Actually Boch said that O'Neill was a pain in the "mitka". I was probably
intended to be close to Mikita, though...

And it wasn't Daniel who replied "No" to O'Neill, it was Teal'c.

I was going to wait until I written the DVD commentary summary for "The
Other Side" but since i have the summary for "Small Victories" ready, i'll
put it online now:

www.geocities.com/xizor_4545_x/summaries/401.htm

And quote some of it here:

----- Wood: The dialogue the Russians are saying is real Russian. There is
one part of it where the translation is "Maybe it's one of the bugs from the
other episode." If you listen carefully you may hear one of the Russians say
"episod." "So only the Russians got that joke." -----

I HAVE to see this!

>> "Peter DeLuise started directing episodes in the third season. In

>> "Hide and Seek" he can be seen as a machine-gunner next to the
>> Stargate. In "Urgo" when the alien computer program Urgo (played by

>> comes down some stairs".

DeLuise actually started directing in Season 2 with 2.17 "Serpeant's Song".
His second episode, 2.20 "Show and Tell" (I've never heard of "Hide and
Seek" being an alternate title before), is where he peeks out from behind a
machine gun to look at Charlie. You can also see DeLuise in 3.08 "Demons" as
the villager who shouts, "The demon comes!" In 4.02 "The Other Side",
DeLuise is the soldier who is yelling, "Move, move, move, move!" When the
Stargate activates at the beginning of the episode.

Director Martin Wood also has a lot of cameos in his episodes.

This is also from my "Small Victories" commentary summary:

----- The two people that Daniel hurriedly darts between while on his way to
the elevator are Sergeant Siler, on the right, played by the stunt
co-ordinator Dan Shea and Martin Wood himself on the left in the green. Wood
is playing a random airman. Wood is seen in most of his episodes and often
appears with Siler as "Siler's Faithful Companion". -----

Don't know if you would really call these easter eggs. ee refers to
hidden material within dvd's.

these are inside jokes more than anything

I saw and heard "niktah" but SG1_Transcripts has this:
ARIS: Well, Teal'c is worth the most. The System Lords would love
to
make a good example of him. And Carter here… well she has the
memories of the Tok'ra Jolinar. And you, O'Neill, you're
considered,
well, you're a pain in the Mikta!

Jack looks to Teal'c.

O'NEILL: Neck?

TEAL'C: No.

A reading error on my part. I didn't see the part where it was in Russian.

I would have to check the credits for this one. Sounds like a good
ab-lib if it wasn't really in the script.
