Did you see the article about their prenup? Divorce=Elin gets $300 MILLION.

Doesn't seem as much money as it did before Obama started spending
*trillions* like a drunken sailor loose in the red light district of DC!

Still, nothing to sneeze at!

Wonder who gets the Jupiter Island home, ocean to Intracoastal? I live
one mile from there, and have seen Tiger every so often, usually driving
a Buick SUV, wonder why the Escalade?

His wife chasing him and smashing a nine iron through the window might have
been a "slight distraction". :-)

Latest news: He's now changing his name from Tiger to Cheetah. ;-)

Maybe he wasn't inside when it crashed. He could have pushed it down a
slight hill, then got in to escape his wife swinging the golf club at him
(after she got a couple of good shots first). ;-)

[Default] Thus spake Jette Goldie <jgold...@btinternet.com>:

It works kind of like this, in my mind. You're a what, CPA, nurse's
aid, tile layer? Someone who has not choosen to present himself in
front of the world. Tiger could have picked another line of work, but
instead he picked one that knowingly places him "in the limelight".

Let's say I called you a child rapist. That would be libel if printed
or slander is I spoke it publicly. But the law holds a higher
standard for "persons of public interest" (wording my vary by state).

Even if you were to be buggering a half a dozen kids, for me to say it
would be defamation of character (lible or slander). Now that's only
a civil tort. If a prosecuter were to say it, we're in a different
realm, which I don't plan to get into because I have not the least
idea how that works.

But if I were to say (before he came out and admitted it) that Tiger
was having an affair, he would not only have to prove that it was
intended to defame him, but also that it was untrue. This being a
civil matter, I would have to present evidence to outweigh that claim.
Not "prove" that he was cheating, just enough to repudiate his claim.
Of course juries like to see things in black & white so I'd really
need to have pictures of him boinking a couple of chicks, or them
describing certain unique features of his "personal anatomy" (straight
from the transcripts from the releaed portions of Monica's
deposition).

Prosecuters generally have immunity for just about anything they say;
they pretty much have to. Hopefully we'll see that broken for Nyfong
and he'll spend the rest of his life in debt; he should be spending it
in prison as well.

Not in this case, unless you're counting one of the mistresses.

it's never just about the mistresses, or the man. An affair is usually
a symptom of something wrong in the marriage, not the sole cause of
the breakdown.

it takes two.
