Brian B is in town.
Yet another real person with a real heart and soul from this newsgroup.
He is just as sweet, engaging, and knowledgeable in real life as he is in his
posts. No poseur here, that's for sure! And what blue blue eyes!

Got to see X-men again in a huge theatre with surround sound. I swear, my seat
was shaking! It's even better second time around. I caught a LOT of things I had
missed the first time.

Then I just had to take Brian down into Greenwich Village to get a real feel for
the heartbeat that is New York City. We had dinner at a sidewalk cafe of course.
Stopped in at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club. I forgot who was playing, but
they were wonderful!
N-Sync boy band was playing at Madison Square. Fortunately, we managed to avoid
them.

Did my psyche a lot of good, after the nonsense of impersonators that have been
coming out of the woodwork around here lately.

:-)

Glad you had a good time Shams.

After all this shit it is good to know there are at least a few people on
the NG we can be sure of.

You of course
Steve C (lots of people have spoken to him and you and FLinx have met him)
Flinx (You, ParisLover and Zepper have met him. I have spoken to him
zillions of times)
Therese (Lisa and I have met her)
Lisa (Therese & I have met her)
Me (Lisa and Therese have met me, various people have spoken to me)
Fiver (you have met him)
Bozo ( you have met him)
Brian B (You have met him)
And I could go on.......

Hmmmmm I see a pattern YOU are actually Fiver, Bozo and Brain aren't you?

Damn I'm so jealous right now. One day when I have enough money to travel, I've
gotta check out Greenwich for myself.

Good to hear that the vibes were genuine. Seems like a cool guy to hang with!

Laura (I've spoken to her on the phone, she is quite real and down to earth)
Louis (I've spoken to him on the phone and heard gunfire in the background, no
not really on the second part)
SJ (His kids actually wrote to me once when he couldn't)
Alucard (I've spoken to him and his wife on the phone)
Arcanum & LadyKhan (we've exchanged several packages back and forth)
Benji (I've spoken to him on the phone, he really is a cool kid!)
CDS (Father of Sock with whom I've been out several times and we talk on the
phone frequently)
DJ (has stayed at my house, no not really I'm just trolling Jup)
Pie (have spoken to him on the phone and we've exchanged several packages)
The Shredder (lives in my sister's town and his mother knows my sister)
Wavemaker (I've spoken on the phone several times, and duh he must really be a
musician if he wrote 2 pieces for my video).

I hope I have not left anyone out.
The point is, for every one or two impersonators here, there are dozens of real

Exactly. In all parts of life we meet some poeple who are lovely and
some people who are complete arseholes.

in my time on Usenet i am glad to say the lovely people far outweigh

You, Ta' and Zab have not understood my post. All I did was list people I've
either met in person or spoken with on the phone. It had nothing to do with
listing people I consider real or friends. I have not met or spoken with any of
you three, but I can only hope that changes some day. :-)

Or we can play six degrees... I've talked to Michelle on the

Though, seriously, I have played both parts, and I daresay so have we

100% agreement. For all the pain and trouble a couple of impersonators
cause, the dozens of real, cool people make it all worthwhile.

I think we are very lucky in this group, there are a lot of real and very
cool people here some of whom have met each other, I bet if we "connected
the dots" so to speak on who had met who, and who was there for a real
person(I've met Michelle as well as one other from this NG, spoken to
several on the phone and exhanged packages with others too, yourself
Shammie, Lisa, Starfish, Julianna, Wave and Fiver), we'd be pretty pleased
with the result. There are a lot of scare stories about the net, and some of
the imposters you can find there, I guess we have been pretty lucky with the
group of people we have here.

Cheers to everyone whether included on a list or not.

That's easy since I had that problem before. I asked my mommy if the reflection
was me and she said yes. I was going through a period of adolescent self-doubt
at the time.

Hmmmm...

No one has met me.

That means I'm not real.

Wait a sec... I'm going to go look in a mirror to see if there's a
reflection.

[....time passes...]

Yeah, there's someone there. But how do I know it's me?

I think if we "connected the dots", I'd be the only one not on a list...
no-one from here has yet spoken to me on the phone or met me IRL :(
