I'm new to this newsgroup, so apologies if this has been posted before, but
while watching a VERY old episode of Dallas from UK Gold (pre the "Who Shot
JR" episode), who should be in it playing a country and western singer
called Garnet McGee but our very own Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew!!). My
husband and I, being ardent Voyager fans, could not believe it, to see her
singing in a cowboy bar! She plays the girlfriend of Ray Krebbs but is only
in the one episode.
The episode must have gone out in 1979 and she looked more or less the same
as she does now, if not a little younger in the face!
I bet then she had no idea that 14 years later she would be saying "On my
Mark - engage!"
Has anyone else seen this and has she done any other one-off television
appearances in other series?
See ya!

I just saw her on a couple of episodes of Cheers. She played Sam's
girlfriend, a city counselor or other local politician. She was kind of
evil, from comedy show point of view, since she was jealous of the
blond(Diane?) and tried to get Sam to fire her 'for her own good'. She did
look almost the same as now.

She has done three episodes of Cheers ("Strange Bedfellows"), where she plays
Sam Malone's love interest. She also did an award-winning episode of Murphy
Brown, in which she played an anchorwoman from Toronto visiting FYI to
substitute for Murphy while she was on maternity leave.
All four episodes were done very well!

As to Mrs. Columbo she said she was 23 playing 37. Too much of a strech for
the audience to believe. I think she looks great on Voyager.
