Neelix's Eye Color :)

Hi All,

Is it my imagination, or did at some stage Neelix's eye color change to a
yellowy color. I just noticed it one day and didn't recall it being that way
previously :)

The color has bounced back and forth. People have said/speculated that
Ethan Phillips (the actor) has been having problems with his contact
lens. Neelix started out with yellow eyes.
If the lens are bothering him, I hope they just stop using them, and
maybe offer some "official" reason why they changed, even just:

Crewmember: Neelix! What happened? Didn't your eyes used to be yellow?

Neelix: Yours don't change? I thought it happened to everyone..

I'm no writer, but something along those lines..

I got the impression that they used to be brown. It was one of the ways i
recognised him as being in an X-Files episode - they eves and the mouth
and the height were the same as Neelix.

But his eyes seemed to change colour half way through the second series.

I thought Neelix was the same guy who used to be the short aide on Benson.
I know that Odo was the tall dude with the mustache. Pretty soon that
german cook will show up as an alien...

You are right NJ, Neelix was the aide on Benson, and yes Odo was the
tall dude, I think his name was Clayton.
About Neelix's eyes, they are different from what they were in the
beginning, they are sort of bothersome now.

holigraphic doctor showed up as a movie director!

It was, of course, a guest shot.. not a regular.. but I was waiting for
Kate Mulgrew and John DeLancy to show up any second..

I am watching the 'Threshold' episode now and noticed a difference in Neelix's eye colour. Well, I know now that I am not the only one who saw it.

His eye color changed from brown to yellow S02E15

Yes! After Threshold of season 2 they are certainly yellow like MJ in the Thriller music video.

I just went back and watched other episodes on Netflix and you are right! I noticed it and googled it and stumbled on your question!
