No doubt about it, my vote would have to go to Star Trek VI. Very well done.
They made it look very realistic by adding the grey and thinning it out a bit.
On the other hand, the absolute worst would have to be from Star Trek V. It
looked like a huge, fat clump of hair, no grey at all. Just my opinion.

SHATNER RULES!!!

Well, I have to agree that at least in latter years and films Shatner wore a
hairpiece...in the movies, his hair is a totally different texture and color
from the TOS days. All the same, its his business...and I could care less if
his hair is real or not.

*Couldn't* care less. :o)

Someone pointed that out to me once and it annoyed the hell outta me, so I
thought I'd pass on the torture. LOL!

I still think that was his own hair in TOS. The movies are a different thing.
If he hadn't gone with such a puffy style, he coulda gotten away with it. Cos
now it looks real. *I* think, anyway.

I bet he's just trying his hardest not to look like Picard. LOL!

<Begin chant>
Hair! Hair! Is he bare? If he is, then we don't care! Wooo!
<End chant>

I don't really think fans of Sean Connery go on about his
hairpieces...why Shatner "fans" do is a mystery to me.

Look, when you are in the entertainment industry, especially as an
actor, appearance is your bread-and-butter. Lifts, tucks, appliances,
dental bonding etc. are very common. This doesn't even speak of the
airbrushing and other methods employed post-production.

Some people want to know how the magician did it, some just enjoy the
show. I'm in the latter category. LET ME BE. Thank you.

I'm a Shatner fan, even though I can see the flaws in his delivery quite
clearly. Elvis died fat and addicted to drugs: That doesn't take
anything away from "Jailhouse Rock", does it? No, it doesn't.

I just saw Shatner's latest movie, "Free Enterprise" (which sucked, but
it wasn't his fault). That movie was a total loss for non-fans, but
fans will cherish another glimpse into Shatner's artistic and personal
adventure.

He ain't no Lawrence Olivier, but besides Larry himself, who is? For
pity's sake, people, be reasonable.

I come here to hobnob with other fanatical fans, and this is one place I
do feel I should have the right to be protected from the harsh
assessments of people who ~don't get it~.

I also would like to say that bald is sexy too, but a bald man has the
right to choose how he presents himself to the world. If a guy is
uncomfortable with looking bald and being seen as bald, and he takes
steps to prevent that, I think it's a crummy thing to keep pulling his
wig up saying, "Look!". IMHO, that's a malicious thing to do. It's not
he kind of thing a fan should do, IMHO.

I did summer-stock theatre in the early 70s and worked with scores of
wonderful (and not so wonderful) TV and movie actors... one of which
(the non-wonderful kind) was James Drury, TVs The Virginian. You wanna
talk about nips and tucks?!! Drury wore a rug, false teeth, glasses
and at least one inch lifts in his boots! To see him on the street
without these appliances, you would never recognize him!

I missed working with Mr. Shatner in "Arsenic and Old Lace" by ONE
SEASON!... story of my life...
