Anyone else hear Jolene Blalock on Howard Stern this morning? I didn't
hear too much of the interview, but I did hear this:

1. Jolene was going to turn down the part of T'Pol because "who would
want to be on Deep Space Nine or Voyager?" She only took the part
because she learned Enterprise would feature a "younger cast" and she
believes that, since she looks very different in her T'Pol wig and
makeup, she won't be typecast in the future.

2. Howard did, indeed, make a big deal about how different she looks
as herself.

3. Under her catsuit she wears "a big padded granny bra" that makes
her look bigger than she is. (For the record, Howard thought she
looked bigger in real life!)

Voyager I can understand, but DS9? Yeah. Why would anyone want to be on
an entertaining show that sometimes was pretty darn good sci fi? That's
probably the kind of thinking that got her into Jason and the Argonauts.

Type cast as what? An alien creature? probably not. As eye candy who
should never be given a line? You can count on it.

But Howard wears those silly sunglasses in a dark radio booth, too.

Voyager was MUCH better than DS9

DS9 was sometimes, but rarely, reasonable sci-fi; I often found it
fail to be entertaining.

Qualitatively, quantitatively, or by any other measure, DS9 was FAR
superior to Voyager.

Your recurring dislexia is back. You surely meant to say DS9 was MUCH
better than Voyager.

Yes, God forbid anyone should have an opinion that doesn't match yours.
That's an obvious sign of mental illness.

Personally I thought DS9 was often dull, drab and uninspiring.

No in the sense that watching Avery Brooks fake seizures while Red
Contact Lens Demons try to use the Big Book of Evil to open the gates
of hell and a Rat Pack Hologram gives romantic advice to the crew is
far worse than being poked in any part of the body with any type of
implement. And has no connection with Star Trek to boot.

Granted, Avery was unwatchable at the best of times, but it's academic
whether his antics were more painful than a brainless, seven year long
ripoff off Gilligan's Island, starring Primat Conehead & Tonto.
