I just saw this episode tonight and I heard Kira and Kai Winn conversing
about how Kai Winn stopped the reckoning, well just how did she do it?
All I saw her do was touch a panel and right after that say, "Mayb the
prophet's forgive me" Also, after I find out what it is she did, WHY did
she do it?

I can't answer why, but what she did was flood the promanade with cronoton
particles to make the Prophet and Pa'wraith (I have no idea how to spell that.)
leave their host body.

Dax had already set up the computers to flood ds9 with cronoton
particles...to drive out the prophets and prevent destruction of the
station, but Cisco didn't give the go ahead...so Kai Winn did it. Why did
she do it? Most likely because it would mean unemployment for Kai Winn if
the prophets won. It had already been established that if the prophets won
(which they were succeeding) there would be 1000 years of peace and no more
need for Kai & Emissary positions on Bejor.

Why do people still misspell Sisko's name? No offense, it just makes me
wonder. That aside, I think you're absolutely right as to why Winn did what
she did. What I want to know is: HOW did she know exactly how to do it? I
know the whole thing was set up and ready to go at the touch of a button, but
since when is Winn in expert in Ops procedures? For that matter, how did the
Ops crew know the radiation would drive the Prophet and Pahwraith out of Kira's
and Jake's bodies? It's not like they'd done this before.

O'Brien did this back in the 4th season's "The Assignment" when
a pagh wraith possessed Keiko in a Bajoran cave. Coincidentally
that was also the first time we heard of the pagh wraiths.

OK, I am shy about contributing to this news group, but didn't they have to
drive a "Pawwraith" out of Keiko once?

She activated the chroniton field Dax set up to force the "Prophets" out of
Kira and Jake when Sisko gave the order which he never did.

She did it because as she said to Sisko, after the reckoning there would be a
thousand years of peace and no need for emissaries or Kai's or any of the
"shepards" to guide the bajorians in the right direction. So basicly she would
have been out of a job.

There was to be a battle between the Prophets and the "Evil". Reconing is the
final battle between them. Kira was the host for the prophets and Jake was the
host for the "Evil". The station was evacuated except for those two, Sisko and
the Vedic. She was supposed to leave, but because she was jealous that the
prophets wouldn't speak to her, she snuck into ops and flooded the room that
the battle was bieng fought in with cronoton radiation (which forces the
entities to leave their hosts). She said forgive me because she interfered
with the Prophacies. If the "Evil" was defeated there would be 1000 years of
peace on Bajor (the Golden Age)

Thanks! I'd forgotten about that. Was that way back in the 4th season? I
keep thinkign it was just last season. I'll have to check. If they'd made a
throwaway mention of that I would have remembered. Perhaps they didn't since
the Chief wasn't in this episode (Is he off filming a movie or something?)
