If Barack Obama ends up winning the White House, the first person he
should probably thank on Election Night is ... Jeri Ryan. Like, "Star
Trek's" Seven of Nine Jeri Ryan? Yup.
Let's explain.
Back in 2004, when Obama was a small-time State Senator from Illinois
and running for a U.S. Senate seat, his GOP opponent was Jack Ryan, a
super-wealthy businessman who was actually favored in the contest --
and who had gone through a messy divorce from ... Jeri Ryan.
The divorce was a slapfight of Hasselhoffian proportions, and Jeri's
allegations that Jack had forced her to go to sex clubs in New York
and Paris -- and wanted her to have sex with him in the clubs --
completely ruined Jack's campaign ... and Obama went on to win the
seat. And now, perhaps, the one in the Oval Office.
We asked Ryan's rep how she feels about it, but haven't heard back
yet.

Obama's win will lead to the birth of Earth Federation as America and Africa
will be united. That is Seven of Nine's last mission.
There is no birth record of Jerri Ryan.

Too bad she didn't. Then, maybe our fair weather Democrats would've been
forced to face the fact that a lot of what the Clintons, and Gore, and Kerry
faced wasn't of their own making.
But, if course, Hillary will pay for not attracting right wing Republicans
who hate her husband (and her as his proxy) for actually winning an
election.

You can't seriously be implying that Jack Ryan ever had a chance against
Obama? No republican had a chance for statewide office, then or now. TMZ
obviously doesn't have an office in Illinois.
>> We asked Ryan's rep how she feels about it, but haven't heard back

Why should he get involved with that BS premise? I think TMZ should
stick to Hollywood celebrity harrassment.
The senator from Illinois who preceeded Obama was a republican...
Fitzgearald. I don't remember his first name as he was oh so very
unremarkable.

I don't agree with any of Obama's politics and I'm tired of this
messianic treatment he's getting. But I won't abide the intellectual
dishonesty of blaming Jeri for this, either.

Besides, she tossed Braga out on his worthless ass -- from his own
house. She gets big points for that.

Don't blame Jeri Ryan. Blameher pervert ex husband for screwing things
up.
What's the story there? Is it as good as it should be?
**Yea! Spill it, Anim8rFSK! :)
kaboomie
That's about it. Somebody I know at Paramount dropped by Braga's house
(that I understand he lived in before they got together) and Ryan
answered the door and said "he doesn't live here anymore" and shut it in
his face. :)
Cool! And I didn't even know they were even together.
Yeah, for quite a while. I think she got the gig first though.
Yet another masogynistic prick who cant understand that a woman, even a wife
has the right to say no.
grow up dickhead, Jack Ryan stuffed his own campaign by forcing her into the
clubs she did not cost him the campaign byu revealing it. You are a no life
loser who is speaking in defence of a low life scumbag who attempted to
publicly rap;e his wife, and now are blaming the negative consequences of
*his* actions on her, if you are ever seen near a girls school the police
should shoot you on site because he who defends a rapist *IS* a rapist
Fozzi
Actually the politics dont enter it here for me, I'm simply a man who has
zero time for other men treating their wives/girlfriends like 20 cent
prostitutes and even less time for men who think such actions are in any way
defensible or amusing. Indeed such men are not really men at all, a man puts
his partners needs before his own needs let alone his frivolous fantasies,
such males are merely little boys regardless of the date on their birth
certificates.
It isn't even about the sex club per se, If she had been into the idea then
good luck to both of them, If he had taken her only once and after her *no*
had accepted her choice as final, well, not exactly great form but in the
end a minor issue. The fact he took her several times, and according to her
complaint, tricking her by pretending they were going to an ordinary night
clubs, despite her *no* makes him a low life scum bag. He better be thankful
I dont make the rules in this world because if I did, after the fault was
proved, he would have been dragged from the court (using a shark fishing
hook rammed through his testicles), thrown up against a wall and shot, like
worthless pieces of shit like him deserve.
Cheers

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much...

This raises a good question.
Why didn't she say no? She had money and she was employed on Boston
Public around 2004.
Jack Ryan never had a chance of winning against Obama in Illinois.
The story was dredged up from old divorce records (from 1999). The records
had been sealed at the request of both parties and were released against
their wishes in 2004. The events described took place (or didn't, Ryan
denied them during the 1999 divorce proceedings) in the mid-90s. Jeri Ryan
did not reveal the information and was adamantly opposed to (and strongly
critical of) the information being revealed, since it had been sealed to
protect their son, born in 1995.

Don't blame Jeri Ryan. Her idiot husband was married to a very
beatiful woman(When she first walked on the set, everyone was
transfixed and stopped what they were doing) and still had to go to
bizarre sex clubs,,
Considering I've actually done time for killing a rapist with my own hands,
using a fishing wire as a garrot, i'm not protesting anywhere near as much
as I'd like to.
re the more serious sex offenders, same penalty, except in their case i am
going to add insult to injury by sending their surviving family members
(primarily parents) the bill for the execution costs, if they baulk at which
for any reason whatsoever they get locked up until the bill is paid, with
punitive interest set at 100% per day.
the blokes selfish attitude had to come from swomewhere and parents are the
most likely candidates.
As I said I have ZERO tolerance for sexual misconduct, you'll find people
with my childhood experiences will either a) repeat the cycle of
innapropriate sexual behaviour, or b) they will be rabidly, violently anti
such behaviour, I fit into the second category, Any man who rapes or molests
any woman or child I know, even if that woman or child is merely a passing
aquaintance, IS a dead man from the moment that I find out about it and if
the state doesnt like it the state can go fuck itself.
cheers
Fozzi
What makes you think she didn't.
Cheers eh...Sorry about your past experiences. You must have been quite
traumatized.
Problem is...Ryan...as repugnant as he may be...has not been accused of
anything approaching the stuff you're understandably (I guess...I don't know
you or your actual history) so obsessed with. He has never been accused of
rape for example. Simply being a perverse and miserable excuse for a
husband. Even you must draw a line somewhere.
If you've read the other posts in this thread, you'd know the story was
blown out of proportion and Jeri herself has disavowed it.
Not wanting it published is not the same as disavowing it, considering it
was the specific 'fault' she claimed as reason for the divorce to do so
would be tantamount to a confession of perjury on her part so I doubt she
has completely ruled it out, her 'no comment' to press questions would be
more acurately interpreted as her telling the so-called journalist to piss
off and mind their own freaking buisiness.
Cheers
Fozzi
Or that she never said no.
