The latest episode of South Park pokes fun at Glenn Beck. Eric
Cartman is given the job of reading the morning announcements, and
uses his position as pundit to attack the class president, Wendy
Testaberger, by asking important questions such as if she really is a
slut.

When Cartman first started the 'talk radio' thing on the mic I thought they
was doing a "Rush Limbaugh" parody. With Cartman being overweight and Rush
being associated with his days being overweight. After that I could see the
parody fit any talk show host including Beck, Hannity or any number of talk
show hosts on both sides of the aisle. It was with Beck references (the
logo, blackboard & weeping) that it beomes a Beck parody.

I think M&T should have kept it generic for a broader theme rather than go
for the Beck factor. Another opportunity missed IMHO.

At least it was smurfs in lieu of crab people. ;-)

Agreed!

BTW I didn't see your post when I typed mine. Great minds. :-)

Nope, this is Glen Beck all the way. And here is what Glen Beck had
to say:

Say what you will about Glenn Beck (and there's not much nice to say
about him), he has a better sense of humor than Tom Cruise and Sean
Penn.

Plus, he's one hell of a guitarist, he's amazing with an axe. My
favorite album of his is "Blow by Blow" but they're all just fantastic.

I think you're getting confused with the late deaf guitarist Glenn Healey,
who performed at Ronnie Scott's with the rock and blues legend Eric
Olthwaite.
