* The Simpsons ("The Haw-Hawed Couple" - Nelson becomes Bart's best
friend after Bart is the only one to attend Nelson's birthday party)
* South Park ("Make Love, Not Warcraft" - the World of Warcraft
episode)
* Robot Chicken ("Lust for Puppets" - includes Calvin & Hobbes and
Grand Theft Auto: Mario Brothers)
* Avatar: The Last Airbender ("City of Walls and Secrets")
* SpongeBob SquarePants ("Bummer Vacation" and "Wig Struck")
In the "one hour or more" category, the hour-long episodes of Foster's
Home for Imaginary Friends ("Good Wilt Hunting") and Camp Lazlo
("Where's Lazlo?") were nominated, along with "Hellboy Animated: Sword
of Storms" and Discovery Channel's "Secrets of the Deep". It is
possible for more than one of these shows to win in this category.
Family Guy did get one nomination - for the song "My Drunken Irish
Dad" (from the episode where Peter goes to Ireland to find his real
father). This ties FG with the entire CW network, which also got only
one nomination (a Sound Editing nod for "Smallville"). (Why, yes,
that does mean "Veronica Mars" managed to make it through its entire
run without a nomination in any categories, doesn't it?)
Note that these are the only nominations any of these shows received
(so, for example, Alf Clausen did not get any nominations for his
music on "The Simpsons").
Also, there are two additional animation categories (individual
animation achievement and voiceover performance) that do not have
nominations; the winners, if any, of those awards will be announced in
the next month or so.
