Hey-
Anyone have any info regarding a movie made by Trey and Matt called
"Cannibal: the Musical?" I stumbled upon this URL
http://www.slamdance.com/SD98/cannibal.shtml
while poking around the net.

Cannabal was Trey Parker's first real full length movie. There's some really
funny anedotes about it... You can get some of them at the BEHIND THE SCENES
section of the Comedy Central web site... (check out the Q&A at Aspen Comedy
Art's Festival). Anyway, it was originally called Alferd Packer: The
Musical and it's actually about Alferd Packer who was convicted of
cannabalism during the gold rush years. Trey actually broke his hip during
the makinf of this movie AND managed to get kicked out of college.

Anyway, you can try to buy it at REEL.COM or TROMA.COM. I've tried both
places and still have yet to get a response. I have a copy, but it's a
really shitty 12th generation copy that I got years and years ago.

In fact, this last episode about Sundance Film Festival was a personal stab,
since Trey Parker submitted Cannabal! but didn't get so much as a rejection
letter... Later, though, after South Park was a success, Sundance came to
HIM for the movie Orgazmo. (Yes, Trey was a trooper and opened Orgazmo at
Sundance).

Anyway, the whole thing is written by, starring, directed by, music composed
by Trey Parker. Matt Stone and Dian Bachar (From Baseketball) are also in
it... other familiar names like Toddy Walters and Ian Hardin, and Jason
McHugh are also in it, as Trey obviously likes working with his friends. (At
the time of Cannabal, though, Trey was actually recruiting these guys
because they happened to be in his film classes).
