After all these years, Orgazmo is out officially today on DVD.

I picked up my copy at Best Buy for $14.99

Trey & Matt deserve the credit for this movie. Please buy this movie.
Don't copy it, don't rent it, please buy it.

It took several years to get this out on DVD, show them your support by
purchasing it.

Picked up my copy today, and I would have paid 29.99 for it. This
thing is decked out people, and well worth the 14.99-19.99 you'll pay
for it. Can't recommend this dvd enough. Bye-Bye homemade dvd. Just
go buy this.

btw, anyone heard anything else about the special edition of BLU that
is supposed to be coming out here soon?

I think I'll rent it first, since I haven't seen it before. While
BASEketball and the SP movie were good, I never considered either of them
ownworthy. If Orgasmo is really great, I'll buy a copy.

By the way, don't they also get royalties each time one of their movies is
rented?

It depends. Most independent rental stores simply buy their copies from a
wholesaler and then keep all the income from rentals. So the studio
doesn't see any money apart from the initial purchase. Blockbuster,
however, has a rental agreement with most studios where they get their DVDs
for free in exchange for giving studios a portion of the rental revenue.
This is how Blockbuster can afford to have 300 copies of one film.

As for whether Matt or Trey sees any of this money depends on their
contracts. They may get a portion of the revenue the film brings in, or
they may get nothing.

I was speaking to the die hard fans. Hope you like it enought to buy it.
Not sure video stores will carry it. They never carried the VHS release of
it.

Netflix had the DVD available for renting the day it came out. In fact I've
had it in my queue for over a year, and at first the release date was
"unknown".
I just noticed this is going out to a bunch of groups. Do you monitor
alt.tv.southpark? If so I will strip the other groups.
