I'd meant to mention this from the episode where bevelaqua got blasted but
forgot.
IT seems like Sopranos has scored big in musicland becuase untill now the metal
group "METALLICA" has only let any of their music be put into one film project
and that was the hbo documentary about the three killer kids in arkansas called
"Paradise Lost".

Maybe the metallica guys are big fans. I know i've seen interviews on mtv with
rap stars saying they are addicted to the show.

This is the second episode at the strip club where Metallica was playing
this season. Last week was "Memory Remains" and I think the other time was
"Sad But True" I love that the Sopranos used Metallica, and glad that the
guys let them use their music. I am a huge Metallica fan, and the HBO
special you mentioned was also a great plug for the band (That was a odd
documentary, WOW). Well no need to get into a Metallica discussion here.

Maybe Chase made them an offer they couldn't refuse?

The cool thing is Metallica MUST be fans because they bought the rights to
their own music for an enormous price. Over 5 years ago, Electra was allowing
use of Metallica songs and the band got pissed. They went out and bought their
own rights so they "wouldn't hear their music on shoe commercials" so whenever
you hear Metallica music on a show, it's because the band approved it
themselves.

was in high school (I swapped between that and Nirvana's "Nevermind")... ahhh the
memories, I gotta go find some mp3's now......

I'll reply on a 16 year old forum thread! Late to the soprano party by a few years lol. My roommate at the time of airing was very adamant about having it quiet when this show was on. I kinda flew threw the seasons the last couple weeks but I noticed an episode where sil and Tony are in the back room at the Bing and you can hear Metallica's cover of The Small Hours from the garage days cd faintly through the wall.
