It hasn't been acknowledged, but I do wonder what Janice is living on
now, or was before she hooked up with Ralphie or Bobby.

1. We know she gets disability because we saw the paperwork for it in a S. 2
ep.
2. She more than likely came into something after Livia's death. Livia may
not have been filthy rich, but it's very probable her estate was of moderate
value. Janice appears to have gotten the house, which would be equally
divided among the surviving offspring (Janice and her siblings), unless
Livia set up her will to transfer the deed to Janice solely. If she didn't
do this, in order to keep the house, Janice would have had to pay her
siblings a third share each of the house's current market value. This could
be done by refinancing the house. Either Tony and/or Barbara also might have
declined their portion of this inheritance and allowed Janice to keep the
house w/o paying them a share.
This happened to a friend of mine. When her widowed mother died, she and her
husband and kids took over the mother's modest home. Her brother was doing
so well financially, he passed on his share in the home and allowed his two
sisters to divide the value between them. My friend's sister needed a new
car, so they gave her the mother's car, which was in good running order. My
friend refinanced the house, and the current market value of the car was
deducted from half the worth of the house, which is what my friend paid her
sister from the refinancing money.
There was some other money -- life insurance and some savings. My friend's
brother again allowed his two sisters to divide the remaining assets between
them.
3. It seems like Janice always has her eyes open for other money-making
opportunities, such as selling Tony the info he wanted on Ralphie's sex
practices for 3K. No telling what else she's up to.

I remember that, but then we saw her working again, after Richie's
death, when Livia died. I guess she could've submitted another claim,
or that could've been under the table.

That's true. I expected to see more of them fighting over the scraps,
but I guess it wasn't necessary.
I also remember she was trying to refinance or mortgage the house when
she was with Richie; Richie said he'd "take care of it."

I like Janice, well I mean I wouldn't want to be related to her or
anything, but I'd like to see more of her schemes. All in due time, I
guess. She's certainly not living large right now - she's morphed
again, into the perfect girlfriend for Bobby.
Thanks.

Hmm, I've never seen her working. I've seen her sitting on the couch with her
narcoleptic boyfriend strumming the guitar trying to write Christian rock
songs. I've heard her talk about doing some video. But bullshitting doesn't
necessarily equal working. Although working is sometimes bullshit, but that's
another topic.
Tony's sister Barbara called him in tears, saying that Janice refused
to come to the funeral. So Tony called Janice, in Seattle I guess.
She's with her 19-year-old "fiance" and they're both wearing some kind
of uniform, and she answers the phone with some business name.
Tenuous, I know; probably just another scam.

I thought it was fairly obvious. Johnny tells Livia "This package will
choke a fucking elephant". Livia, ofcourse, says something to the order
of "Oh stop". To prove that it wouldnt choke an elephant Livia feeds the
package to an elephant, who chokes and dies. To afraid to tell Johnny
what she did she simply said she had the package at her sisters.
Vandalay Industries?
ROFL - very creative!
But what happened to the Virginia ham, then?
