Yes, she does look heavier, although not unattractively so.
And I think Anthony, Jr.'s new "do" looks much better. :-)

If anything, she looks average now and was very thin before.
Then again, I'm not much into girls who look like little boys, y'know?

Ay-men!
'40 pounds?' '...cute but Real heavy?' You've
got a seriously warped view of women. She looks
perfectly fine for a 17 year old girl.

As far as my view on how much a woman should weigh, I follow the doctors
general guideline of 100lbs for the first 5 feet, and an additional 5lbs for
each inch above 5 feet. Does that sound waifish to you?

Sitting at the breakfast nook, driving the SUV, carrying the food into Livia's
room.
For all the worry about what the food would do to her shape last season, wha
happened?
Maybe nothing happened. Jamie Lynn Sigler was about her current weight in the
first episode last season, by Episode II she'd lost a lot of weight. Maybe it
took extreme dieting to get down to her Season I weight and her current weight
is more healthy for her body type. If so, good for her. IMO, that seems
likely since she WAS this weight when she first appeared. Not everyone has to
go nuts a la Jenifer Aniston when they're on TV, and diet down to size zero.
Maybe Sigler re-thought.
> I'm not saying a little meat on

Unhealthy for the heart? At 16 years old? She's going through changes.
So she's getting hips now. Leave her alone already. Things will work
out fine for her, I'm sure (and hope).

You even metioned "general" guidelines. Not everyone fts into nice
little slots to be categorized and labeled.

I'd like to dig him up again; just to see if his face is as ugly
(like the dude that Chris dug up) as his mind, and, so I can
whack him with the shovel again.
Did anyone else think that Barbara looked anorexic? She was skin and
bones!! It was a good contrast to overweight Janice and showing how
fucked up the family is, but still!!
Look at her again when they show her from the side at the picnic. her
arms are about as big around as everyone else's wrist!
>But did you notice that everyone in shorts looked bowlegged, especially

Your comment makes me think of Carmella's bow-legged walk (tony's is
more of a heavy-guy's waddle).
Then, the first thought was "duck-walk" for Carmella, which triggered
all sorts of psychological symbolism!

Meadow is not fat/chubby/etc.. she is beautiful. Anyone who thinks she is is
brainwashed by the Calista Flockharts of this world. Also beauty is more than
skin deep, so while Meadow may be beautiful, when never really know how
Jamie-Lynn (meadow) really is on the inside (she might a total bitch, or total
angel in real life).
Now back to what matters.... Paulie Gotieri.. that brother rocks BOO-YAH! He is
my 2nd favorite charecter on the show (Meadow is 1, Tony S is 3). The way he
walked into the BBQ scene when Barb and Cheese (Pavarti/Janice) were on the
lounge chairs made me crack up laughing.....

Well, it seems to be almost a general understanding that Flockhart is too
thin, so she's become the object of fixation. No one seems to mention Lara
Flynn Boyle (check her in the Twin Peaks pilot where she's gorgeous and now,
when she looks like she was just released from a concentration camp) or
Jennifer Aniston, or for that matter most of the prominent fashion models of
today.

Probably due to his Puerto Rican girlfriend whac.... nevermind...
Paulie is also my favorite. I love his clothes! They are so realistic. They
are like formal sweatsuits. And the hair thing is a riot. He's got the best
hair on that show.

I'd like to see hillary clintoon shot on-screen in a Sopranos episode.
Trouble is, how could they prevent someone from firing more than once?
<grin>
I watched "Ally McBeal" a couple of times last season because of all the
fuss in the press over Calista F's weight. Her head looks like
cantaloupe on a stick. One look at her mottled, grey teeth & I decided
she has an eating problem. Keep in mind that she's the star of the show
and is professionally made up & lighted.

I saw Paulina (married to Ric Ocasic) in person in the 80's & Rebecca
Romijn-Stamos on Dennis Miller last night (rebroadcast from last year).
They're not all stick skinny. Rebecca looks somewhat robust, with
loooong legs:-)
Bill Lynch
Me, of course:-)

Even so, by the general guideline, Meadow should be 130 lbs (I believe
she's 5'6") and I believe her weight is 120, or so. She's really not a
teletubby. She's had some camera angles which accentuated her derriere,
maybe some bad pants, too.
Bill Lynch
I loathe this topic but the idea of 5 lbs per inch presumes a woman is small
boned. The range of acceptable weight varies according to bone structure.
How about the chick that was on Lois and Clark (forgot her name). She was
the one on Seinfeld that said 'they're real, and they're spectacular!'.
Anyone seen her in the Radio Shack commercials? She's gotten so skinny,
'they're gone!'.

Hey, don't look at me in that tone of voice. :)
I have no problems dealing with Mead's physical appearance. I'm giving
her the benefit of the doubt and writing off any criticism about her
physical image as a mere growing stage. I dislike the amount of time
and conversation spent on her weight in this newsgroup and don't
believe she should be judged, or pigeonholed, by it.
Teri Hatcher? Last seen as Paris in the Bond movie before "The World Is

you know).

I don't think it's her weight so much as the clothing they are dressing her in.
The tight choker necklaces accentuate a double chin that may or may not be
there in person. Her shirts have been too tight, making her look very upper
body heavy, rather than like the full chested woman she has become. I wonder if
she chooses her wardrobe or if it is chosen for her.
