>4. "45K in Krugerrands" (Meadow); What the hell is a kruggerand?
Krugerrands are gold coins. South Africa, I think.
>I'll hang up now and wait for my answer thank you
heheh.
Don't know
>2. Shylock business; what is it?
Loansharking. The idea is to get someone so indebted to you, the shy
(interest) alone brings you a pile of money each week, keeping the victim in
debt.
>3. "I'm OC" (Multisanti); What does that mean?
Did he say "OC" or "OG"? OC means Organized Crime, OG means Original Gangster.
>4. "45K in Krugerrands" (Meadow); What the hell is a kruggerand?
Answered by another in this thread.
>5. what is a "strunz"
Strunz or strunzo, it means a "piece of shit"
>6. Episode 2 Pussy says to his employee "I'm fucking Rockford over here";
>what
>does that quote mean?
If I'm not mistaken, that was when he was looking for A.J.'s teacher's car? He
meant he was delegated to investigative work (looking for stolen cars), a job
which, IMO, he felt was beneath him.

As in Jim Rockford. "The Rockford Files"
Old 70's TV show. Dectective thing.

Could 'Teresi' have been Barese - as in Larry Boy Barese? Not sure who
Mangano might be.
> 8. Who takes over Altieri's Crew after he gets whacked?
Not sure exactly but this could be the crew eventually passed on to Gigi
Cestone and currently under Ralphie Cifaretto.

OC=Organized Crime

Torris
That's what I said OC meant. I just think Christopher said that he was OG, not
OC (I could be wrong). I believe that was in the episode "A hit is a hit" (or
something like that). Maybe we are not referring to the same line.
When the feds knock on the door scene, towards the end of the season(1), they
arrest, Junior, Larry Barese, and some guy named Joe Sasso. Just trying to
figure out who "Sasso" is. Also when a fed, probably the DA, asks junior to
testify in order to get "Johny Sack... mangano & Teresi" NOT Barese. I Sack is
part of the NY mob, but I dont know who Mangano and Teresi are.

Closed captioning is notoriously faulty.
For example, on Star Trek Voyager, one of the characters was named Tuvok.
Closed captioning put it as "Two Bucks." LOL!!
Maybe it was truth in advertising?

Considering that he was a bore, I'd say you're on to something, Dev.
1. Not sure of the top of my head;
2. Shylock=Loan Shark, as in the character Shylock from some Shakepeare
play who takes his pound of flesh;
3. OC=Organized Crime;
4. Krugerrand=The national currency of South Africa, easy to launder;
5. Italian for whore maybe, not sure;
6. Rockford was a TV detective and in the episode he has to do detective
work to find AJ's teachers car;
7. Nope, no idea;
8. Hmmm, best guess Paulie Walnuts because he's definitely a captain in
season 2.

True. I use closed captioning all the time. Remember the song "Black Books"
at the end of one Sopranos episode? CC kept showing it as "Baby's in the Black
Boots again..."
Another time, a live person must have been captioning at the time, the CC
letters kept getting scrambled. Then there was a long pause, then the words
"OMG, tits!" Trust me, the audio on the show didn't even remotely resemble
this. :)

OMG, you are not going to believe this.
It is on RIGHT NOW as I am typing this!!!
What are the odds?????
I was taping that *very episode* and the credits were rolling at that *very
moment* playing *that very song* --- can you tell I'm freaking out at the
synchronicity here??
