On the one hand, Tony is proud of what he's done ("I didn't
hurt nobody"), but the fact that he mixed his Prozac with
alcohol indicates that he also wants to escape from the
situation and not think about it (and, presumably, about
what it might mean for the future of his career).
Of course, he in fact *did* hurt people. Coach Hauser's
family was hurt, but that was unavoidable. And Tony was
probably completely unaware of the severe consequences
his teasing of Junior on the golf course had. Still, at
least he did pull back from having someone killed.

In my opinion, he had to get blitzed to "burn off" the excess energy and
urge to kill Hauser after he decided not to. He wanted to, very badly, and
was moments away from it, when he realized his old friend was right: the
only person it would help would be Tony. He didn't get relief by killing
the guy, so he got bombed. Makes sense to me.

Hopefully coach will move to Maine where Tony will garrote him on a weekend
visit to see his daughter. (-:

"Boca" is a good ep, the spotlight on minor character Artie Bucco is
refreshing. He feels uneasy with parts of Tony's mafia life, but still hangs
out with him, to the consternation of constantly nagging Charmaine (the only
time she paid Artie a compliment is in a comparison to Tony). This episode and
"I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano" are two of the strongest examples of why Tony and
Artie's friendship has endured. Artie knows a nice guy is underneath Tony's
tough guy veneer, and Tony knows he really does need one friend who isn't
connected.
Love the tickling, teasing, etc. between Tony and Carmella. Their marriage is
so chilly sometimes, but in this one relations thawed a little. When Carm said
once a year, do you think she meant once a year he "whistles through the wheat
fields" for her, or once a year is the only time they have any type of sex?

I assume the reference is like the Thorogood song "I Drink Alone:"

and I woke from a terrible dream
So I caught up my pal Jack Daniel's,
and his partner Jimmy Beam
...
The other day I got invited to a party,
but I stayed home instead
Just me and my pal Johnny Walker,
and his brothers Blackie and Red"

Good explanation - It took Tony a while to anger and tell him "Who do you
think you are, telling ME what to do?"

It sounded like any sex to me but it could have been "south of the border."

Thanks. Only after watching the episode a few different times can I catch all
the references thrown at viewers.
