Full video of the Hartman tribute or of the short film? That film is one
of my favorite SNL moments--it's touching and sweet, totally not what you
would expect, but Jan and Phil were excellent.
Those who don't know the bit: We see Jan Hooks, made up and dressed to
portary a very old woman, coming into the bank and retrieving a
safe-deposit box. She opens it and removes a velvet-wrapped tiara, which
she puts on. Then, a fantasy sequence begins. She is suddenly young
again, dressed in a ballgown, and Phil, in a military dress uniform, comes
to her and sings a song that begins "Love is a dream, yet it's for
real...". They dance, and it's very romantic and lush. And then,
finally, she returns to reality. She packs the tiara away, and sets to
leave. When she reaches the door, she looks back to the guard, who is
Phil also made up to be old, and he salutes her. She blows him a kiss.
I melt just thinking about it.
I think I have the Hartman tribute on tape, which has the film on it,
slightly edited I think. Also, it's got credits running over it, which
rots. But if you get desperate to have it in some form, let me know.
Good things,

OK, I'll leave it but with this comment. If it wasn't any of our business
then it would have been a hidden camera in a bedroom somewhere. As it
stands it was a news conference with them on display for everyone who
watched. And if you didn't want to know then why did you read the post in
the first place?
