Ok, well it sure looks like it to me judging by this video I just got. It is a
video of what looks like a press conference with Lorne Michaels standing at a
podium. The camera starts panning down a long table, close up showing first
Dana Carvey sitting nice and proper, then Dennis Miller looking to his left and
then stops on Jan Hooks and Phil Hartman. They are practically in each others
laps! She is leaning against him while his arm is around her and his hand is
kneading the hell out of her upper arm. He pulls her closer against him and
she smiles. At first I thought she whispered something into his ear but then I
realized that she is giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. She leans her cheek
against his and closes her eyes while he is grinning like a love sick puppy.
It is so obvious that these two were in love! I just wish the clip had ran
longer. It is ironic that both of them were on that 3rd rock episode together,
he playing the scorned love sick boyfriend of hers. What else is interesting
is that she left SNL around the time that he paired up with Brynn. Now I can
play what if all day with this but if only they had stuck together he might
still be here. Fitting that the last scene showed on the SNL Hartman tribute
was the black and white sketch of him and Hooks dancing and her blowing him a
kiss goodbye. If anyone would like a copy of this (it is only a few seconds
long) I would be more than happy to give it to you if you send the blank tape
and postage. Also, if anyone has the full video of this I would love to see
it!

Full video of the Hartman tribute or of the short film? That film is one
of my favorite SNL moments--it's touching and sweet, totally not what you
would expect, but Jan and Phil were excellent.

Those who don't know the bit: We see Jan Hooks, made up and dressed to
portary a very old woman, coming into the bank and retrieving a
safe-deposit box. She opens it and removes a velvet-wrapped tiara, which
she puts on. Then, a fantasy sequence begins. She is suddenly young
again, dressed in a ballgown, and Phil, in a military dress uniform, comes
to her and sings a song that begins "Love is a dream, yet it's for
real...". They dance, and it's very romantic and lush. And then,
finally, she returns to reality. She packs the tiara away, and sets to
leave. When she reaches the door, she looks back to the guard, who is
Phil also made up to be old, and he salutes her. She blows him a kiss.

I melt just thinking about it.

I think I have the Hartman tribute on tape, which has the film on it,
slightly edited I think. Also, it's got credits running over it, which
rots. But if you get desperate to have it in some form, let me know.

Good things,

You know in retrospect I shouldn't have said "affair" because this was
pre-Brynn. He had no ring on his finger, btw.

Just leave it, okay? I don't want to know and I don't think that it's any
of our business.

Emma"

OK, I'll leave it but with this comment. If it wasn't any of our business
then it would have been a hidden camera in a bedroom somewhere. As it
stands it was a news conference with them on display for everyone who
watched. And if you didn't want to know then why did you read the post in
the first place?

Are you posting under multiple names, or answering for someone else?

No, not multiple names (I wouldn't be caught dead on AOL :-) I just don't
see the problem with the original post and threw in my .02. Sorry my
wording made it seem otherwise.
