The Butabi brothers, all the way. The first time they did it with Jim
Carrey, it was unbelievable.

A tie between Jim carrey and Cameron Diaz. Jimmy-boy for being exactly
what SNL needs and Diaz for being so hot ;-)

I have way too many favorites, but to pick one, "ABC Campaign 88" from
Tom Hanks (10.08.88). The first time I saw it, I was in hysterics, and
it still cracks me up.

Any of the great hosts, like John Goodman, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks...

Again, I have a bunch, but Joe Pesci immediately comes to mind. His
show was terrific, and he played a nice range of characters, and not a
string of Italian stereotypes which you might expect from him. "Pinky
Ringery" and "Single White Person" are just some of the great sketches
from that show.

: What is your all time favorite skit on Saturday Night Live?
This is going back to the glory days of SNL (late 80's - early 90s).
There was an episode of Sprockets in which Dieter puts on a German
dating game, "Love Werks." Wolfie Schreiber (Jason Priestley) was the
lucky bachelor who was to choose from three competing German
bachelorettes. The first was an aspiring actress. The second was a
dominatrix, who works in a Lego factory outside of Baden-Baden, and
whose idea of the perfect date "is impossible under the existing German
laws, but would include a lot of humiliation, a sound spanking, and, of
course, coffee and chocolate fingers." Finally, there was Susan, the
she-male (Phil Hartman in a Heidi outfit with lipstick carelessly
smeared around the mouth).
And the winner was Susan, the she male! Dieter says "Kom und meet your
lovah!", and now's the time on Sprockets when we dance!
My *all-time* favourite!
: Who would be a great addition to the SNL cast?
How about Conan O'Brien

Were you lookin' at my bum? Were you? Bum-lookah! Cheeky monkey!
: The Japanese version of The McLaughlin Group. Meyers, Carvey, Hartman,
: Newman. I still laugh just thinking about it.
WRONG! Hahaha! I've forgotten all about that one!
Newman? It was called "The Arakawa Group" with Dana, Phil, Rob
Schneider, and Mike. Incidentally, a RealVideo of this entire segment
is available on my website.
My wife worked on one which will be used as part of the program
within next three weeks. It shows a sleazy pawn shop where people
borrow money using food as colateral. Wife Rita said that it was so
hilarious that cast and crew woudl start to laugh and director had
to yell "Cut" and start again.

NRFPTP era (75-80)
-Courtroom sketch from the first episode which proves you don't have to
beat a joke to death, or any Nerds or Uncle Roy sketches. Or anything
with Mr. Mike.
Crappy Era Volume One (80-81)
-Haven't seen much of this. I'll have to say "Where's Cooter?". I don't
know why I think this is funny, but it still makes me laugh.
Live from New York, it's the Eddie Murphy Show!! (81-84)
-Hard to say... probably "Ebony and Ivory". Also like the Libyans sketch
with Bill Murray, Robin Duke and Eddie. And Sinatra singing "The Woody
Woodpecker Song"
Live (with 40% on tape) from New York, it's some semi-famous people!!
(84-85)
-Hard to choose. It's a tie between Synchronized Swimming and Jackpot
Wad.
Lorne Again (85-86)
-A tie between Tommy Flanagan meets Mick and Jerry, and Cabrini Green
Jackson giving advice to expectant mothers. Again, I haven't seen all
that much of this season.
A New Hope (86-90)
-Too many to list. I'll pick a random two I can think of: Repairing
Robots and Attitudes (the one with the tiny food)
The Chris Farley-Rob Schneider-Julia Sweeney-Chris Rock-Adam
Sandler-David Spade-Ellen Cleghorne-Siobhan Fallon-Melanie Hutsell-Beth
Cahill-Robert Smigel-Sarah Silverman era (91-94)
-Probably the Sinead O'Connor Awards or the sketch with Sally Field and
Jesus (Phil Hartman)
The Trying to Steal Dick Ebersole's Idea and Failing era (94-95)
-Carageenan, Funny-Strange Funny-Haha, and the return of Aykroyd's Tom
Snyder
Getting Off the Damn Shed (95-present)
-Wymyn's Poetry Night, Stevie Nicks' Fajita Roundup, and the wedding
vows sketch with Madeline Khan.
