All of you so called Sliders fans who do not like Maggie Beckett, and flame me
for liking her, can kiss my ass. Maggie has become one of my favorite
characters on Sliders. Sure, she was a bit rough around the edges at first,
but she was a new, undeveloped character. Much of that had to do with the
writing. Sure, she can be a bit abrasive at times, but at least she doesn't
whine like Wade Wells did! That mousy chick drove me crazy... I only wish we
could have seen scenes of her being tortured in the Kromagg camps. (sorry
Wade fans... just my opinion)

Maggie Beckett is a tough, strong woman (much like Colonel Kira of Deep Space
Nine) and Kari Wuhrer, though not a great actress, does a fine job portraying
her. I look forward to season five, where I hope we can see more interaction
between Maggie and Remmy.

LONG LIVE CAPTAIN MAGGIE BECKETT!!

I, like alot of others, like Wade Wells better, but you don't see me
writing rant about it :)

*I think there really needs to be an alt.fan.kari-wuhrer ng*

Yes you do, or you wouldn't have replied to the post.

You know I've seen a fair few posts with "Maggie Should Die" or "I don't
Maggie I want Wade"

> *I think there really needs to be an alt.fan.kari-wuhrer ng*

Do you also think there needs to be an alt.fan.sabrina.lloyd ng?

A Kari Wuhrer newsgroup isn't a bad idea. It will get rid of all
the WooHoo! fanatics in a.t.s.

Funny you should mention it, just a hour ago I checked my NEW
newsgroups folder and guees what? There was an alt.fan.sabrina-lloyd
newsgroup.

Actualy, I liked both Maggie AND Wade.

But I'm kind of confused why there seems to be so much bitterness between the
Wade and Maggie camp.

Maggie was brought in to replace Arturo, when John Rhys Davies wanted to leave.
It was his choice to leave. Maggie, as a character, was an excellent foil for
Wade, enabling Sabrina Lloyd to bring out a new side of her acting ability.

I think Kari Wuhrer is very, very sexy. But then, so is Sabrina, but in a
different way. However, I thought that when they tried to babe her up towards
the end of season 3, with shorts and lip gloss, it just didn't work. Kari is
deffinately glamourous, but Sabrina has a lovely girl next door look.

And they are both very good actresses.

But it was Charlie O'Connell, and not Kari, who replaced Sabrina. And Charlie
is truly one of the worst actors on TV. If his brother hadn't been both star
and producer, I doubt that we would every even have seen him on a TV.

And it was Sabrina's choice to leave the show. So all Sabrina fans, go watch
SPORTS NIGHT (though I can't 'cos I'm living in London) and stop gripping about
Kari and SLIDERS.

I prefer the buttery goodness of Sabrina Lloyd to any actress who lets
her breasts do all the emoting for her. Since you like Kari Saline so much,
you'd love this cheap, soft-core porn I saw out of the corner of my eye
the other night on Showtime. (The fact that I can't even remember the title
shows how much effect it had on my life, but Kari played a hooker
who's being pursued by Burt Young. She finally kills him by blowing
his nuts off with a shotgun [yeouch!].) Miss Wuhrer's cleavage was
much in evidence, as you might expect, and there was a bit of
rather uninspired humping in a deserted barn between Kari and this
schlemiel of a companion of hers. Long live "Sports Night"!

Ok, I am with you there.

Uh, not anymore. Not saying Kari doesn't act good, but putting them in the
same catagory, no.

Reminds me of Kari, season 3 stuff. And I concur, he is terrible.
