Last night, I turned on the boob tube and found Kari being a total slut with
some dude in a dirty hotel room, revealing her bulging implants and actually
doing a head stand, licking the guy's shorts. I thought it must've been
ratings-sweeps week for Sliders and the producers were really desperate for
ratings, sliding Kari into some parallel S&M world...something that Star Trek
usually do from time to time. Finally, my brain cells kick in and I realized
that this was some cheap Showtime movie called Hit and Run (aka Red Blooded
American Girl Part 2 [yes, there was a part 1] and Hot Blooded). For some
reason Kari was credited as "Kari Sarin," she must've been too embarassed to
use her real name. The movie wasn't that awful...Kari displays lots of
cleavage and even reveals more of herself in a few pivotal scenes. Kari even
does a few stunt scenes, jumping on a moving semi truck for example and shows
some dramatic acting by shotgunning her incestuous daddy in the nads after he
tries to force a blowjob on her.
Yes, its total garbage, but an entertaing one for guys..

Anyways, I checked out her filmography at IMDB.com and found out that she has a
total history playing B-movie bimbos in the past few years. I've listed them
down below. Can someone here recommend which one of these movies make
excellent viewing for those looking for great Kari trash?

Touch Me (1997) .... Margot
Undertaker's Wedding, The (1997) .... Maria
Vivid (1997) (as Kari Salin)
Occasional Hell, An (1996) .... Jeri Gillen
Thinner (1996) (as Kari Salin-Wuhrer) .... Gina Lempke
Higher Learning (1995) .... Claudia
Beyond Desire (1995) .... Rita
Captive (1995) .... Jessica
... aka Sex and the Other Man (1995) (video title)
Crossing Guard, The (1995) .... Mia
Red Blooded American Girl II (1995) (as Kari Salin) .... Miya
... aka Hit & Run (1995)
... aka Hot Blooded (1998) (USA: video title)
Terminal Justice (1995) (as Kari Salin) .... Pamela Travis
Boulevard (1994) .... Jennefer
Sensation (1994) .... Lila Reed
"Class of '96" (1993) TV Series .... Robin Farr
Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991) .... Jackie Trent

Thinner. She was pure slutzoid there. I wonder who she had to sleep
with to be in Sliders.

I've been wondering that long before this post, my friend. It also makes
you wonder who she slept with to get that raise at Sci-Fi channel.

Guys,
C'mon. Kari Wuhrer doesn't have to sleep with anyone to get that raise at
Sci-Fi. She's a talented, sexy woman, and she's made herself very important
to the show. They'd be crazy not to give her a raise to keep her on the
show.

Really? They were crazy enough to let Arturo go and to get rid of
Wade. Then they were crazy to let Jerry O'Connell leave the show.
Somehow "crazy" isn't the word you are looking for. ;-)
As far as her being talented...I'd say that she still hasn't found her
character. Sabrina Lloyd had Wade down by the third episode (shooting
order, not broadcast order). Maggie has a backstory that is somewhat
of a challenge for any actress, and is definitely beyond Kari's range.
(Not really her fault...he writer's overcomplicated her past....but a
better actor would've been able to handle the nuances..)This is not to
say Kari has no talent, she is indeed adequate. However, what used to
make Sliders so special was that the cast was really above average and
way beyond just adequate.
I don't agree with the reasons for her having been brought onto the
show, I don't agree with her constant changes in hairstyle and I don't
believe her for a sec as Q-Ball's love interest. Overall, it just
wasn't an improvement.

Yes, I like Wade better than Maggie too.

That's entertainment. For real Monster-Vision fun, tune in to the
movies of Ami Dolenz. She's the daughter of the Monkees drummer
Mickey Dolenz. Her best film work to date has been running toward
the camera in slow motion in the movie "She's Out of Control,"
but her two enormous talents can also be seen in such cinematic
classics as "Ticks" and "Pumkinhead 2: Blood Wings," which was on
last night after "Sliders." (I was too tired to get up out of the chair, or
even change channels.) She gets these roles by being able to scream
louder than other auditioners, and if you've ever seen
her in a clingy swimsuit, you'll realize why. Lung capacity is not
one of her problems, and she's prettier than Kari as well. . . .

<g>

FWIW, I like the Maggie character much better than I used to. If the writers
would make her consistent, well, she might be pretty cool. But you're not
going to convince many folks here (other than the otherwise converted) that
K.W. remains on the show because she's such a great actress.

Now THIS may (or may not) prove interesting. I'm not
sure if you have met the 'evil' klown, Deacon. When
someone wonders why I am so negative and 'impolite',
here is one of the factors that shaped my behavioral
patterns. He (Krusty276) tends to have rather shallow
tastes in viewing: eye-candy (like special effects),
T&A, lots of 'action' (as in plots that don't provoke
thought).

By the way, while your remark was undoubtedly intended
as sarcasm, you have insulted Roger Ebert. Shame on you.

Women change hairstyles... so its not a problem. And I can't
understand what she'd see in Q-Ball, finding it much easier to believe
that he'd be having dreams about her than the reverse. (what was that

About a year ago there was an article in Cosmo
about how girls have to sleep around to get ahead
in Hollyweird,a nd she was quoted a lot. She
actually admitted to playing the sex game.

I couldn't believe it, she exposed her 'game plan'
for all to read. I was laughing, but like you

She made use of the resources available to her. How sneaky and underhanded of
her! How dare she?!

Plenty of talented actors languish unknown for years. Whether or not Kari is
talented (which is more a matter of opinion than fact, it seems), save for an
extremely lucky break it would take her a long time to work her way up. So she
took shortcuts. That's life, not some big master "game plan".

I just wonder, offhand, what it's like to be one of the stars of a show and
have so damn much bile directed at you day after day- cries of "stupid
talentless slut." What a wonderful job to have, that.

Hmmm? Who can I accuse her of being? Hmmmm? Maybe an out of work

I'm looking through my back issues, but I don't
know if I have that one anymore. A fanatical fan
could go to a library and find it. I doubt a
'transcript' exists. And, yes, it was kari -- I
was shocked because she was the only person with a
'name' quoted in the story. I couldn't believe how
she would admit to all the sleaze.
