Hello,

I found it quite shocking that the Simpson's Homerpolooza episode had so
many drug related references.

The best one of all is when Otto is standing in the crowd and looks down
at his feet. The screen gets a little fuzzy and then his shoe begins
talking to him.

I think it says " We don't want to hurt you, we just want to have fun"
Something like that!!

If anyone knows what Lisa said when she could smell all of the pot around
her in the audience, please mail me.

Regards,

dean

Actually this was probably a marijuana reference.
As far as I know, LSD is odorlous.

Even better was the episode when Lisa drank the
water in the "It's A Small World"-type ride at the
fun park. She started tripping out, saying things
like "I am the Lizard Queen!"

That's weird. LSD has *NO SMELL* whatsoever. Now pot, on the other
hand... tends to be very prevalent at concerts and, indeed, in Otto's
jacket pocket. This is not a subtle LSD reference, but an overt pot
reference. Do ya see it, man???

There's plenty of LSD references, as I'm sure you're all well aware.

1) Homer gets the Spinemelter 2000
2) Milhouse drinks the Squishee made with only syrup
3) Lisa drinks the water at Duff Gardens
4) Otto says he likes to get "blotto" at the AA meeting...this one's
kinda week, it could mean drunk, or it could be a reference to blotter acid
5) Marge says all children need is a little LSD

can't think of any others right now (LSD, I mean)
There's plenty of pot ones, to

1) We see Quimby growing some kind of plant in his closet
2) Burns pulls out the bong on the Rainbow Warrior and makes his harmless
tobacco joke
3) Of course, Bart buys the bong

Ta for now, loves,
Mark

There's also the episode where Shelbyville spikes Springfield's
water supply (The Homer loves Ned episode). Marge takes a drink, and
trips out bigtime and saying "The walls are melting again", while a
chicken jumps out of the oven and says he is overdone, and flies out of
the window on a rainbow.

of course Otto drops acid. In the Halloween episode where the billboard
characters come to life he's driving the school bus and a giant something (was
it the donut man?) appears in font of it: "Uh oh, here comes another
flashback!! I'd hate to be driving the bus now!"

I remember that episode. Bart drinks it too, and wakes up the next
day with a terrible hangover. I'm not sure I'd want to drink a
straight squishee, especially since after Bart woke up, he found out
that while he was high, he joined the Junior Campers, headed by Ned
Flanders. Help!!!!!!!!!!

When Marge says it, she means: Love for my Son and Daughters

It was in the one where the kids get sent to the Flanders' foster
home.

There's also the part where Homer is cleaning the basement, and he gets
wrecked on the fumes from the cleaning fluid, and hallucinates Mr. Clean
and the Scrubbing Bubbles (??I think -- it's been awhile since I saw it),
who then proceed to beat the hell out of him.

Actually, the squishee was probably a marijuana reference. Milhouse can't
get the squishee to come out of the straw at first, and he falls back.
When he gets back up the straw is coming out of his mouth like a joint.

No! That's not what she said!!

She tested positive for some drug, they re-tested her, and she passed
(a fluke?).

Then she said: "The only drug I'M hooked on is LSD: Love for my Son
and Daughters."

regardless, they aren't going to smell acid in the air ! ! Besides, half
the pot smokers I know do acids.. Besides, man, you don't even know, maybe
it was shrooms if u wanna be technical. How do shrooms smell? Not strong
enuf, just as acid wouldn't be.

I don't think any of the LSD references were subtle. Milhouse:"I'M

the "water" in the beer stream, and Lisa runs around in a hallucination saying, "I can
