That was clearly an error, either that they think she doesn't
know by now, or that she wouldn't know before this. Any book
about becoming a vegetarian, and surely she read one of those,
will make the point, and tell you to use the seaweed agar-agar
when you want that smooth jello feel.
I'm disappointed there's no real Christmas-themed episode this
year. I'm suffering badly since the CBC stopped the 5pm reruns
of the show, and would have expected them to run some Christmas
episodes in the next week or so if they hadn't stopped running
the show.
Yes, they have at least made some episodes seasonal with the snow,
but that's not the same thing.

I'm sorry a joke caused your vulgar spew.
I am reminded of the time Jim Peck, a white man, went on the first
freedom rides in the late forties to desegregate buses. Then I am
reminded of the second set of Freedom Rides in the early sixties,
where he was nearly beaten to death for wanting equality for blacks.
John Lewis was part of those freedom rides, and got beaten up badly
too (not that he wasn't beaten up badly later at Selma). He even got to
sit up there behind Obama during the inauguration.
The world is better because of such people, who wanted change and
risked their lives.
