Fine? I think the episode tries to be more profound as a set of character studies than it actually is. Also weird that with the tweak in episode order we wound up with two wilderness survival stories in a row. The story of Martin (and Bart) was fine until the groan-inducing way he saved the day; Lisa's only-child fantasy came to a sudden end for almost no reason. And are these additional character names all new: Jimbo *Shapiro*, *Gareth and Gloria* Prince?

DYN:
...Grey Griffin (new voice of Martin) has a new name?
...the film student's phone doesn't seem to back up to the cloud?

Previous episode stuff
1F06: Title makes the same reference
3F17: Put Milhouse in Dolph's place and you'd almost have the spring break crew!
AABF22: Martin's on Focusyn (among other things)
BABF18: Some elements of both the horror movie shoot and reveal that it is one are reminiscent of one here
2F03: At the end, Willie expected "the wee fat one" to have been eaten; one supposes he means Martin, but in 2F03, he thought of Bart as "the little fat boy" and we really can't rule him out either!

Meta
Homer wonders if he even has toenails (indeed, they are usually not seen on Simpsons characters)

NASCAR update
Same story as last week: the race ran long (into overtime, if that's any different from last week) and didn't actually end until almost 7:30. Coverage ran for another ten minutes or so; at 7:40, a Call Me Kat title sequence ran, and at almost 7:42, that show's repeat was joined in progress. The 7:00 third airing of QABF19 (The Wayz We Were) didn't run here in the east, though if last week is any indication, it will run in some western time zones. I did hope to determine whether it was time compressed and whether it retained the dedication from the second airing (probably not). Maybe I'll find out!

It was OK.

No problems on west coast. :P

Tiredness, Picard, winter, and Paralympics (good opening ceremony) are back again.

It's a tradeoff, that's for sure. Any dedication or speed changes noticed?
