Simpsons & Family Guy Emmy Nominations

The Simpsons received 2 Emmy nominations: one for the show itself, in
the Animated Program Less Than One Hour category (the episode
submitted to the Academy was "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind",
but there was nothing stopping the Academy's Animation branch members,
who did the nominating, from basing it on the entire series), and one
for Alf Clausen for background music (for Treehouse of Horror XVIII).

Family Guy also received 2 nominations: one for Blue Harvest (the Star
Wars episode), and one for Ron Jones for background music (for "Lois
Kills Stewie").

The nominees in the Animation Less Than One Hour category:
The Simpsons (Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind)
King of the Hill (Death Picks Cotton)
Creature Comforts America (Don't Choke to Death, Please)
Robot Chicken (its Star Wars episode)
SpongeBob SquarePants (Inmates of Summer / Two Faces of Squidward)

In the Animation One Hour or Longer category, there were three
nominees:
Family Guy - Blue Harvest
South Park - Imaginationland
Justice League: A New Frontier

There is a new "Special Class - Short Format Animation" category, for
shows that consist of two or more different segments to enter separate
segments if they want; there were two nominees:
Camp Lazlo (Lazlo's First Crush)
Chowder (Burple Nurples)
