We all know Homer is an idiot. Homer has surely said something
slightly intelligent in all these years, right?

Homer has said once
"Maybe they are barking up the wrong bush"
This is when everyone in springfield is sucking up to preseident bush who
has just moved into evergreen terrace!
Even Homer feels this is a clever remark
he thinks to himself..
"THere it is the smartest thing you will ever say and no one was around to
hear it!"Or somthing simialr

I remember that being hilarious. What was the situation?

Homer: [reverently] Oh, Bartholomew, I feel like St. Augustine of
Hippo after his conversion by Ambrose of Milan.

Homer: You're...selling _what_, now?
Apu: I am selling only the concept of karmic realignment.
Homer: You can't sell that! Karma can only be portioned out by the
cosmos. [slams the door]
Apu: He's got me there.

There was that recent episode where Homer had that crayon removed from his
brain and he said many intelligent things. But strangely, the things he
said when he was supposedly very intelligent were not near as intelligent as
the brief glimpses of insight (already mentioned in this thread) that he
says with a crayon in the brain.

Does Homer taking the demotivational work plaque, "Don't Forget You're
Here Forever", and strategically arranging photos of Maggie on it so it
reads, "Do it for her" count?
