I'm new to alt.tv.simpsons, so hello to all. anyway, among all that took
place during last nights episode, i was especially pleased to see the
reappearance of what has to be the world's most deadly weapon........
...a board with a nail through it, the same one that repelled the space
invaders in the 2nd halloween special (i think). it was one of the weapons
used against lyle lanley when his non-stop flight to tahiti stapped for a
layover.
re: someone's post regarding springfield, it's location, time zones,
football game scores, and church. well, if springfield is in
Alaska, it must be somewhere near cicily.
re: the 1964 world's fair sign that was revealed when the monorail sign
was peeled off at high speed. wasn't the '64 world's fair in seattle?
if so, this would seem to be a reference to the monorail that is in
seattle, that was supposed to be the transportation wave of the future
when it was built.....but still only makes the little loop down by
the space needle.

The '64 World's Fair was in New York City (Queens) and yes, there was a
monorail there. (No, I'm not *that* old, I just know these things.) Do
you *have* to use that word "reference"? Ugh.
