Would blow if it were true...

Um, I submit that for understatement of the week.

Same here... I checked AP and AP U.S. through Yahoo! and they didn't say
anything. However, I did read Shel Silverstein (if you don't know who he
is, well... how unfortunate) died at 66... that really does blow.

Bollocks. Not to put too fine a word on it.

Nancy Cartwright was interviewed live on British radio this morning.

She is therefore still alive, and was nowhere near Palm Beach when the
*alleged* incident occurred.

Been sitting in the sun too long Tony.......

Next definite one is TFI.

Frank Skinner doesn't normally advertise guest beforehand, but I'd say
that's a fairly safe bet tomorrow night.

At last we found out why she's in the UK too. She's publicising the sale
of a load of Simpsons Cel art and an animation exhibition at the BFI. Knew
there had to be a reason.

Is this true? How unfortunate. With Dr. Seuss already gone,
Silverstein was my very favorite poet. I'll have to break out my
copies of Where the Sidewalk Ends, and Falling Up and read them all
again now.

Of course she's alive. If what Anthony posted were a real press release of
any sort, it would have been much better-written. If he were writing it from
memory, there wouldn't have been so much detail. And either way we would have
heard about it from numerous other sources.

I heard no mention whatsoever about Shel Silverstein, but I did see an article
about his death in the back page of the paper. I think Mark Tuinei's OD was
given more coverage, since I do live in Dallas.

That is the course I have stuck to. In the past I tried to defend him when
he said he had changed his ways, a few times even apologizing to him for
derogatory posts I had made against him. Now I just skip all of his
