Seinfeld references on the Simpsons

... the cartoon about nothing.

[7F13] Stand-up comedian looks like Seinfeld.
[9F18] The Simpsons episode "Whacking Day" curiously aired
the same day as Seinfeld's "The Contest", which deals
with a different kind of whacking.
[2F31] Patty & Selma propose changing the city's name from
"Springfield" to "Seinfeld".
[a bass synth riff a la "Seinfeld" plays]
[3F02] Snake's date Shoshanna has the same name and looks as
Jerry Seinfeld's now former girlfriend Shoshanna Lonstein.

[2F10],[2F19],[3F11],[4F08] Episodes written by Seinfeld writer
Jean Crittenden (does this mean now that now Seinfeld is over
she time to write even more Simpsons episodes?)

Generic teenager sounds quite a bit like Jerry.

I read that Jennifer Crittenden is writing for the Drew Carey Show, which kinda
makes me sad hoping she doesnt have Mimi starting to sell muffins or something.

Her name is Jennifer Crittenden. And she's going to work, at least, on "The
Drew Carey Show" next season.

Thank God. OFF has recovered from her time at The Simpsons; it wasn't
surprising to see Seinfeld become limp when she went there. If Drew Carey's
show is any good, Crittenden should be able to remedy that.

Shudder.

Funny you say that. She's written some of the best Seinfeld episodes
ever, including "The Little Jerry" and "The Millennium".

Sounds like you just have some sort of grudge against her.
