REVIEW: Some slow parts regarding Lisa and Bart
at their new school but Homer at his new workplace
more than made up for it.
GRADE: A
BLACK BOARD SCENE: I did not learn everything I need to
know in kindergarten.
COUCH SCENE: OFF parachutes onto couch while Homer's
does not open and falls onto floor.
SYPNOSIS: Homer gets a dream job at another nuclear power plant.
However, Homer does not clue in to that his boss is an evil villain
wanting to take over the world.
SMITHERS GAY?: Smithers refuses a lucrative job offer from
an attractive woman in a stretch limousine. His reply was
that he is "spoken for" despite of her offering extended
healthcare benefits for his "life partner".
WHERE IS _NOT_ SPRINGFIELD: Definitely not the east coast
as it was taken over by Scorpio at the end of episode.
CANADIAN REFERENCE: Boy says his reason for being in
remedial class is "I moved here from Canada and they think I'm
slow, eh?" (take off you hoser writers-hl)
DISNEY REFERENCE: According to Cypress Creek brochure,
a redwood tree can provide enough sawdust to cover up
a days worth of vomit at Disneyland(tm).

JOKE REFERENCES:
Q: How do confuse someone from Shelbyville?
A: Put him in a round room and tell him to sit in a corner.
A well-endowed waitress serves coffee and asks the
customers if they want any sugar. "Yes" they say
so she sticks her hand into her blouse and takes
out some sugar packets. She puts her hand into
her blouse again and asks if they want any milk.
"No no!" as the customers vigorously shake their heads.
JAMES BOND REFERENCES:
"You Never Live Twice": Battle scene from that movie.
"Goldfinger": Famous laser scene. However, Scorpio's
response to Sean Connery's "You expect me to talk?"
really fell flat compared to the classic.
"The Pink Panther Strikes Again": Actually an Inspector Closeau
movie where his boss goes mad and threatens to destroy the world
with a ray gun he has commandeered. In James Bond Movies, nuclear
bombs are the favourite weapons-of-mass-destruction of choice for
evil villains.

It is the "Season Premiere" being that the Halloween episode is
really a special and usually has little to do with the normal season.

As I remember it, Grampa won HIS house on a crooked tv game show. He sold
his house to give Homer and Marge the money to afford the down payment on
THEIR house. This is not a continuity error... however there were some
continuity errors after 8F10 in that Homer found out Marge was pregnant
with Bart and LIsa in that house... when according to 8F10 they didn't own
it yet.

I thought that Grampa sold his house so that Homer and Marge could buy
their own house. The line was something like:
"I'll sell this dump and write you a check."

Grampa won HIS home on a crooked game show. He sold it so OFF could afford
to buy their place on Evergreen Terrace. They repaid his kindness by
packing him off to the old folks' home.

written by the late, the great Roald Dahl.
