Before it gets edited out in syndication, I just had to know what
phone number Homer was dialing to reach the Mr. Sparkle factory
in Hokkaido. Well, here it is hot off my handy dandy DTMF decoder:
The number is: 9657153618965715361. Since Homer did not start with
011 (the international prefix in the US) is it clear that Springfield
is _not_ located in the United States. :)

Is there any Simpsons' signifigance to this number or is it just random?

It's not a phone number, but I don't think it's random either. It probably
spells out something on the phonepad that means "You have too much time on
your hands." ;)

Maybe it spells something that, when spoken and recorded and then played
backwards, sounds like "You have too much time on your hands." Perhaps you
could check theory out for me.
