The episode capsule (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/3F19.html) says that the
song was "Mind Control" by D.J. Keoki, "a really cool New York D.J. who
spins `trance' techno." That may or may not be right, but I think it's a
pretty safe bet. Good day.

Though "Mind Control" appears in the lyrics the actual song title
is "Caterpillar".
Funny how this same discussion is happening right now on

I think Kraftwerk pretty much begin and end with "Computer World." Without that
record you can say goodbye to all your Autechres and other Warp/Skam type of
Autechre clones.

Wasn't there some big fuss over them not along ago, about being paid a
ridiculous sum of money to record a promotional track for some World Expo thing?
The track basically amounted to a four-second clip of a vocoded voice saying the
name of whatever it was donated for.
Now *that* rules.

Kraftwerk released a single some time ago called "expo 2000", but they've
made a bit more out of it though. In addition to saying/vocoding "expo
2000", the say the likes of "man, nature, technology - mensch, natur,
technik". It's quite ordinary ambient stuff. It was released in 8 mixes,
and has gotten some airplay on MTV Europe.
you can check it out on www.kraftwerk.com
