The 2/23 episode corroborating with my growing suspicion that a bulk of
the Simpsons writers went to Harvard. I give you these examples:
In an episode I cannot remember someone said "You, sir, have the manners
of a boreish Yalie." Perhaps it was said to Mr. Burns who is a Yale
alum. And then there was the 2/23 episode with the joke about Princeton
being a clown college. Now if that doesn't tip it off to where the
writers went to school, then I don't know what will.

Conan O'Brien was Harvard '85, my class, and was president of the
Harvard Lampoon (campus humor mag) most of my undergrad years. One of
the other writers I saw in a list of credits, Steve Tompkins, lived in
my dorm and was also on the Harvard Lampoon, apparently a major
connection for Simpson writers.
Steve
Come now, Harvard isn't the only school that views Yale and Princeton
condescendingly.
And if you've ever caught sight of Princeton's "Marching Band", you
would surely agree that Princeton is a clown college.

Well, there's also Burns' rant against Harvard ("they barely even won!)
from "Burns, Baby Burns" as well as SSB being a rowing anchor for the
Springfield Minnimum Security Prison - or was it a pennitentiary - against
the Princeton alums:
"Princeton? Euurrrrmmmmm"
Let's not forget that we know for a fact that Conan O'Brien and Bill
Oakley went to Harvard . Are there any other writers/producers who went to
Harvard?

I would say a fair size chuck of the writers did go to Harvard and/or
were on The Harvard Lampoon. The list of writers includes:
Al Jean Dan McGrath John Collier Patric Verrone
Bill Canterbury David Cohen Jon Vitti Rich Appel
Bill Oakley David Sacks Ken Keeler Steve Tompkins
Conan O'Brian George Meyer Max Pross Tom Gammill
Dan Greaney Jeff Martin Mike Reiss
> I give you these examples: In an episode I cannot remember someone

That was John Vitti getting fired by Roger Meyers. In '93 Bill Oakley
was kind enough to relate who the various writers were depicted in "The
Front" [9F16]. Snipped from Raymond Chen's 9F16 capsule:
>> Itchy and Scratchy writers
| The Itchy and Scratchy writers are in fact caricatures of members
of the actual Simpsons writing team.
This information courtesy of Bill Oakley.
- John Vitti: Fired by Roger Meyers.
- John Swartzwelder: Eating a donut and drinking coffee.
- George Meyer: Sitting at a computer, tossing a pencil.
- Jeff Martin: Pouring coffee.
- Sam Simon: Smoking a cigar.
- Al Jean: Rocking in a chair. ``I wrote my thesis on life experience.''
- Mike Reiss: Reading the paper.
| At the awards ceremony
- Jeff Martin, John Swartzwelder, Matt Groening
- Mike Reiss: ``He's right, we've been wasting our lives!''
- Al Jean: ``I'm gonna wrote a sitcom about a sassy robot.''
| Another interesting note...
* The dilapidated room where the writers work is literally drawn
from a photo of the real Simpsons re-write room. It looks
exactly like that, right down to the broken lamp on top of the
refrigerator.
FYI here's a transcript of the scene in question:
% At Itchy and Scratchy, Intl., Roger Meyers fires one of his Harvard
% educated writers.
Meyers: You call this writing?! If I'd puked in a fountain pen and
mailed it to the monkey house I'd get better scripts!
Writer: But sir, at Harvard they --
Meyers: Oh at Harvard they taught you? Hit the streets Egghead!
You should have majored in not getting fired!
[The writer leaves as Ms. White enters the room]
Ms. White: Sir, a Lisa and Bart Simpson sent you a script.
Meyers: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[reads] Dear Mr. Myers, my brother and I watch your show.
You should be proud that children everywhere blah, blah, blah,
bling, bling, blah. [crumples the letter]
[calls out] Hey, Egghead! [Writer stands in doorway]
Sing "Fair Harvey".
Writer: [singing] Fair-rr Harvard, I --
[Myers throws the crumpled paper and it gags the writer's mouth]
[removing paper] You, sir, have the boorish manners of a Yalie.
Meyers: Here's a witty rejoinder for yea...
[throws name plate which hits the writer's forehead]
[the writer sulks and leaves]
--
``I'm gonna write a sitcom about a sassy robot.''
-- Al Jean
There was an episode where the boss of the Itchy and Scratchy writers
directly said to them something about where's your Harvard education
helping you now (paraphrase) and then makes one of the guys sing the
school's song before stuffing some paper in his mouth.
