DYN
...they do use the term "Olympics", although they never say "Olympic
Games" (Costas says "2010 Vancouver Games")
...at the Curly Trials, Moe does an impression of Moe Howard?
...SPR played BIL in the finals of the trials?
...you never see Marge slide any stones?

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT
There were any number of mistakes involving curling:
* At one point, Marge bounces a stone on her broom; curling stones
are far too heavy to be able to do this
* All of the stones had red handles; in fact, one team uses red,
while the other team uses yellow, as you need to tell them apart
* In the finals of the trials, there were some ends (periods) where
both teams scored, which is impossible in curling
* In some cases, the stones went through the air after being released;
this never happens - they are always slid
* All sweeping was done perpendicular to the stone's direction, which
is fine if you want it to go faster, but not if you want it to slow
down
* Marge made an indentation in the ice to make a stone increase its
velocity, but there isn't nearly enough ice on a curling rink to do
this
* Costas said that Homer had to get his stone into the center, but
all he needed to do was to get it closer than the opponents' stones
* In Homer's final stone, there were three stones in the house when
he let go of his stone, but only two when it reached its target

Agnes blamed Seymour for losing the gold medal in pole vault in
Helsinki, but (a) there was no women's pole vaulting event in 1952
(and she would not have been nearly good enough to qualify for the
men's event), and (b) remember, Principal Skinner is really Armin
Tamzarian - it wasn't him inside her at the time.

You don't win medals in an exhibition sport - Canada won one of the
curling competitions at the 1988 Winter Olympics, but is not credited
with winning a gold medal for it.

At one point, Lisa says there is no dress beneath her pins, but you
can see the top of her dress briefly.

Since curling is already a medal sport, mixed curling should also be a
medal sport, as it is not a new sport, but a new event in an existing
medal sport.

To warm things up for this, or maybe not, the CBC here in Canada will
air "Calendar Girls" on Saturday February 27th at 9pm.

That movie is of course about that group of older women in the UK
who did a "nude" calendar, the parts that mattered carefully covered
by arrangement of common things. I'm not sure that was the first
group to do it, but other groups have done "nude calendars" since then,
usually promising more than they offer.

Well isn't that the perfect recipe for a half hour of belly laughs.
