Hi all. I've been stumped by some friends of mine. They've quizzed me
on the name of the store where Homer buys his donuts. I've looked through
the various FAQs, the episode summaries and suchlike and have only been
able to find the name "Lard Lad Donuts" (from one of the Treehouse of
Terror episodes).

Is this it or am I missing something? I would appreciate an email as well
as a posting as my newsfeed is pretty spotty right now. Thanks in
advance.

We don't usually see him *buying* donuts. Occasionally he gets one at the
Kwik-E-Mart, but most of the time he takes advantage of the ones in the break
room at SNPP. (Lenny: Hey, what's up, Homer? You're talking during a coffee
break! Karl: Yeah, usually you just take the box of donuts into the bathroom!)
In fact, the sight of the donut delivery van was what motivated him to apply to
SNPP in the first place.

Oh, Mr. Simpson! How dare you think you can take a sprinkle donut and place
different candies on them, trying to pass them off as sprinkles! A Mounds bar
is not a sprinkle! A Twizzler is not a sprinkle! A Jolly Rancher is not a
sprinkle! Maybe they are in Shan-Gri-La but not here sir!

Thank you, come again!

I saw an episode last night that showed a donut truck going into the
power plant. The name on the side said something like "Rolling
Donut".

It was the episode where Homer knocked Marge up with Bart, and Homer
left Marge's house in pursuit of making a man out of himself.

Well, I think he had Mojo (his helper monkey) steal donuts from Lard Lad in
one of the regular episodes, but I don't know when else it's been seen.

Most of the time, the donuts seem to just miraculously appear at the power
plant...

Lard Lad was seen in THOH VI's "Attack of the 50 Ft. Eyesores" (Lard Lad was
the first mascot to come to life), and mentioned in "Homer the Smithers"
(Homeboy bought some Lard Lad donuts for Burnsie).

Homer gives Burns Lard Lad Donuts in "Homer the Smithers."

There was a truck bringing them to the plant in "I Married Marge." I
can't recall if there was a company name on the truck or not. In
addition, Homer frequently buys his doughnuts at the Kwik-E-Mart.

There was a generic donut shop at the end of "Marge vs. the Monorail,"
which Homer's anchor grabbed onto. A similar store called HOUSE-O-DONUTS
appeared in Simpsons Comic #1.

On occasion, though, Homer will obtain donuts by making ridiculous deals
with the Devil.

I think the donut shop in "Marge vs. The Monorail" was Lard Lad, but my
memory could be screwing with me again, I might have to stab it with a Q-tip
a coupla times.

I checked the last time the episode ran, and it just said "DONUTS".

They should work in a merchandising venture with Krispy Kreme
Doughnuts, as these are the best donuts on the planet. Imagine the
promotions and merchandise!
