How old is Ned Flanders?

In a recent episode it was revealed that Ned is 60 years old; he used a
senior-citizen discount card.

However, this contradicts the epidode (1996-97 season) where a hurricane
topples Ned's house. In therapy, Ned remembers "30 years ago" when he
was a little boy.

Just a little contradiction for your amusement...

I noticed that too. The first thing I that came to mind when he said he was
fifty is that his parents were beatniks. Whatever. It's just another thrown
together episode like that awful Seymour Skinner's real identity episode. What
a crock.

Er, the end of that title was supposed to be "Maybe it was something I ate. :)
[was Re: How old is Ned?]"

Just for clarification!

My reader showed the whole thing: We don't want to hear about this anymore!
At least, I don't...but I'm in a fussy mood tonight. Maybe it was something

157 characters (she even put two spaces between sentences like a proper
writer)

Well, AOL just sucks with subject titles. :) And of course I put two
spaces...what kind of English teacher/writer would I be? (I learned it in high
school typing class.)

Ok, we all know you're an "English teacher/writer" by now. You can stop
telling us.

In one of the recent episodes he was 60 or 61 or 62 or something. As for
that "We don't want to hear about this anymore" I am lost!

Very simple. This was a heated debate for about two weeks, and was pretty much
the only thing a.t.s. was talking about. So a lot of people (myself included)
got sick of discussing it.

What's to debate?

Some people got all uptight because his parents were beatniks so they were
trying to do the math, and it got aggravating.
