no, no backslashes in email addresses. there is no way that its a valid
address.
Actually, e-mail addresses are very flexible about what characters
they can contain. If quoted, a local name can contain just about
anything. So smartgirl63_\@yahoo.com is technically valid, as is
"Addresses can contain spaces & other punctuation @"@yahoo.com
However, a lot of mail software is much more restrictive. You'll have
a hard time entering an address like the above in a mail program.
