Homer is not the father of these three bastard children, To prove it
I submit the following:

1) Marge has blue hair
2) Homer's three remaining hairs are black

It is genetically impossible for someone with Blue Hair and someone
with Black hair to produce off-spring with Blonde Hair. Bart, Lisa
and Maggie's hair should either be Blue or Black. so the only
conclusion that one can make is that Marge each time got knocked-up
by someone with blonde hair.

It's a cartoon, you don't need to be genetically correct if it's in a
cartoon.

Umm... you do know that many people who have brown hair as adults had blonde
hair as children, don't you?

Actually, Homer's hair is brown (flashback sequences showing Homer with
a full head of hair indicate that it is brown, plus when Homer used
dimoxinil, his hair grew back brown). And yes, it is a cartoon.

But, it was also established (either that, or mentioned and promptly
forgotten) that Marge dyes her hair blue (in the episode where Homer
starts giving away bedroom secrets to a church group), which indicates
Marge's hair colour could be anything apart from blue.

Now, digging up knowledge of genetics in 10th grade science class (wow,
that was along time ago), it is known that when parents of different
hair colours have offspring, the hair colour is usually somewhere in
between. Hence, in order to have children with blond hair, Marge's hair
would have to be naturally pretty light.

In response to another poster's message about blonde hair being a
recessive trait, it is correct to a certain extent, but it more applies
to eye colour. Parents typically come with two eye colour genes
attached to each chromosone. Brown eyes are dominant, blue are
recessive. If a person has one blue eye and brown eye gene, they will
have brown eyes. Hence, one parent has blue eyes and the other has
brown (with both eye colour genes being brown), the children have 0%
chance of having blue eyes (both eye colour genes must be blue in order
to have blue eyes).

It gets slightly more complex. Since that brown-eyed child has one
brown eyed gene and a blue eyed gene (blue eyes are recessive), when
that child grows up and has children of his/her own, there is a chance
the offspring will have blue eyes, depending on the other parent. If
the other parent has blue eyes (both eye colour genes must be blue),
there is a 50% chance of blue eyed children. If the other parent has
brown eyes, but has one blue recessive eye colour gene, there is less
chance (about 30%, but don't quote me...I'm was a film and literature
major in University). If the other parent has brown eyes with both
dominant brown eyed genes, then there is a 100% chance of brown eyed
children, with the chance that some of them will pass on the blue eyed
recessive gene (but not necessarily have blue eyed children).

However, this doesn't really apply to the Simpsons, as eyes are
represented by simple black dots on white eyeballs.

There you go folks. Pop quiz tomorrow, hope you took notes and studied.

If both the black-haired person and the blue-haired person were carrying
blond genes, they would likely have at least one kid with blond hair,
though three is UNlikely.

I confess it's me, I met Marge in a bar in Shelbivil a few years ago, one
thing led to another and we ended up back at my hotel room (she goes like a
train).
However this only accounts for Bart, I didn't realise she did this kind of
thing regularly.

Marge may be a natural blonde. According to "The Simpson's Episode Guide",
Marge uses "Blue #56" hair dye. Homer has naturally brown hair (refer to
flashback episodes). If Homer has on recessive blonde hair gene, and Marge
dyed her naturally blonde hair blue, Mendel's genetics would suggest that
three of the four chilren would have blonde hair (Bart, Lisa, and Maggie).

Marge does use Blue dye, but flashbacks of her as a little girl show her
with the same (albeit shorter) blue hair.

At least Bart and Lisa have. 22 Short Films About Springfield when Lisa
gets gum stuck in her hair, and Bart always wears his hair flat when he
goes to church and on other formal occasions.

Blonde hair does go brown...I was born with blonde hair and it became a very
dark brown by the time I was 6.

I had blond hair when I was young and it is all black now, but it was brown
by the time I was 3 or so, so I would think that Bart and Lisa would have
brown hair.

So when Bart gets dressed up for church, he combs his head?

Ah! But you're forgetting one thing-according to a Halloween episode,
Maggie was fathered by Kodo the alien. It was the one with Jerry Springer
(where Marge actually cursed).
As for Bart, we know he carries the male Simpson gene for stupidity.
Lisa, well...maybe Marge spent some time with Bleeding Gums...

episode where Kang impregnated Marge. So there's your explanation for
Maggie.

Lisa and Bart both have hair. Bart has combed his hair many times, and if
you will recall Lisa got gum caught in her hair in one episode. Then
Nelson made fun of the haircut that she got at the barber.

Flashbacks to Marge's youth show her with blue hair. So she either has
naturally blue hair that went gray quickly, or she's been dyeing it for a
LONG time.
