I happened to notive that not 10 miles away from springfield illinois,
there is a small town by the name of shelbyville.
Insights?

Well, Springfield is the capitol of Illinois, and Capitol City
is a different town in the Simpson's state.

Hey--- it thought Springfield was SUPPOSED to be a MYSTERY thats why the
capitol of the state that its in is called Capitol City.If they cave the
capital of a REAL state you would no where Sprigfield was.And everytime i
see a letter addressed to Springfield (in the show and in the comics) it
says Springfield, USA
