Mona Powell Simpson. The Uncensored Family Album says it's Penelope Olsen
Simpson, but I object. Penelope Olsen was a name on one of her fake
identification cards. Powell is her maiden name, since she had Herbert
Powell before she married Abe.

ever said her real name, but her various aliases were:

I thought Herb Powell was Grandpa Simpsons son not Glenn Close (well since we
don't know her real name)

She said she doesn't want Homer to ever know about his half brother, and Abe
agreed never to tell. But he did anyway.

I have a hard time believing any of that family tree in the Uncensored
Family Album. It has multiple discrepancies when compared to the series.
I'd take that with a grain of salt, and assume it was created without
research or forethought to the show. (It's a funny book, though!)

adopted? Adoptive kids get the name of their adoptive parents.

Not everyone is using a newsreader that can do this; users can either post
or mail a reply, but not both. (Fortunately, the one I use, FreeAgent, does
not have this limitation.) People using such a newsreader are unlikely to
CC, even if you ask nicely.

Your best bet is to check the newsgroup (with DejaNews, if you have no other
way) for replies that may not have been CC'd. And try to be a little more
forgiving. Hope this has been a lesson to you!
