No, But here's a thought: In the episode where Homer takes Smithers'
place while Smithers goes on vacation for awhile, after Homer punches
Burns in the face, Burns tries to call Smithers by spelling out his
name:
S M I T H E R S which corresponds with:
7 6 4 8 4 3 7 7
This number turns out to be Moe's Tavern.
Though, as you can see, Smithers has eight letters, one more than the
average U.S. local telephone number. This doesn't answer your question,
but it may give some insight into where Springfield is, for those of you
who are trying to figure that out.

Try dialing one of your friends' numbers and add an extra number at the end-- it
should just register the first 7 and start ringing.
