Man o' man... Would someone try to count up all the clockwork orange
refernences in the simpsons!
I just saw another in "a streetcar named marge" (or whateverits called)
When marge was tring to "stay in charactor for the play" bart was talking
like a charactor from a clockwork orange... he even quoted "I have a pain
in me gulliver" So... any other clockwork orange fans out there??

The most obvious ref. was Barts costume in Treehouse of Horror III

I just saw ACO last night and loved it. Don't forget the episode where Santa's
Little Helper ran away and Burns took him in and turned him into an attack dog.
SLH had his eyes propped open, Smithers put drops in his eyes, and he
watched movies of dogs getting kicked. Hah!

You bet! My loved it when when Santa's Little Helper was being
brainwashed by Mr. Burns, just the way Alex was. What I'd really like to
see is a list of _all_ the Stanley Kubrick references. I can think of four
that had 2001: A Space Odyssey, two for A Clockwork Orange, at least two
for The Shining, and one for Dr. Strangelove. My favourite was the one
where Homer was buying a massage chair, sat down in it, and began seeing
the streaking light effect from Bowman's trip through the stargate.

Or the one with Homer as the star child, or as an ape leaning against the

And don't forget Bart's costume in one of the Halloween episodes: bowler,
longjohns, cup -- even the eyelash.

Mmm.......orange.

I thought the MOST obvous was when santa's little helper was recruited
by Mr. Burns's. His conditioning methids included the eyedrops and
video.......

Ok, here's all the S. K. refs that I can think of...add to it freely

A Clockwork Orange:
-Barts costume in ToH III
-The one where Burns trains SNL
-The one where Lisa proves that a hamster is smarter than Bart
[At one point, Bart spies two cupcakes on a high surface, but he's
been conditioned to not touch cupcakes. As he's straining
towards the two deserts, the viewing angle is exactly the
same as near the end of the movie, when Alex is reaching
for the naked lady's two... well you know :)]
-Also, in serveral episodes, Bart takes a very Cockney (?) accent,
and some of the words are exactly from ACO

2001:
-Aforemention Homer Ape and the monolith
-The one with the super-deluxe chair...long long scenes of Homer's
eyes and flashing colors ala the end of 2001

The Shining (never seen it, so I only know of one):
-the entire episode of "The Shinnin'" in ToH V

Dr. Stranglove:
-Forgot the episode, but the one where Homer imagines himself
riding the bomb like a horse ala the final scenes of
DS.
