Not bad, though also not amazing. This seemed to straddle the realms of classic pop culture commentary and basing an episode around a celebrity, and it didn't get stupid and unwatchable - the eventual story development of dads ruining cool things was pretty good - but it also seemed to lack bite, or something. But hey, could have been a lot worse, and having the celebrity not play himself is a big plus.
DYN:
...the popcorn stops popping immediately when the microwave is turned off?
...multiple lines were changed after animation?
...the Bart sneakers, although "randomly" colored, go yellow-red-blue from top down, as Bart's head, shirt, and shorts do?
Previous episode stuff
YABF21: this Mike Wegmans guy is back
2F01: the knockoff Bart sneakers are called Bort-1s
As usual
The race ran long again today, so out here, the 7:00 repeat (UABF01 airing 3) didn't run at all. The next show (a rerun) was joined in progress about a third of the way through.
And finally...
We're only a little bit through the UABFs, but it looks like some episode codes from next season are out, and to my astonishment, next up seems like OABF. Yes, as weird as it was that with no end in sight to the show the letters Q and U were chosen to follow Z, rather than I and O, it's even weirder that I and O themselves are not going in order. I doubt anyone is planning for the show to end at season 34, so why not go back to I first? Is that the only letter that will turn out to be completely forbidden, or will it just come next anyway? In any event, I see that the four originally-skipped letters will spell out QUOI, a useful mnemonic, as it's French for WHAT, as in WHAT the hell is going on over there??
