The one where Bart sells his soul to Milhous for $5.00
It had its moments but no real out loud laughter, and too much of a
message.

Strange that you should say that. This episode received pretty much high
praise from "fans" on a.t.s. when it first aired last October.

FYI, here is some reviews snipped from James Cherry's 3F02 episode
capsule:

Mark Richey: I was pleasantly surprised how good this episode was. It
was sweet and touching and quite funny. The characterization of
Bart and Lisa was excellent. If the show can remain as good as it
has been the past two weeks, I think many of the complaints about
the quality will die down. Grade: A.

Dave Kathman: I thought this episode was fantastic --- the best since
"Lisa's Wedding", in my opinion. It was funny, and touching, and
just plain unique; it would have been right at home in the third or
fourth season. Biggest laugh for me: "Ow! My freakin' ears!"

Coleman Baker: Tonight's episode, while not the best, was a solid, funny
one. What impressed me most about this one is that the writers
finally created another show with two running storylines -- like the
great "Lisa's Substitute". I think this helps the timing of the
show and the storylines seem to have fewer lulls in them.

Doug Yovanovich: I quite liked this episode. We got to see more of the
supporting characters like Moe, the comic book store guy, Milhouse.
There wasn't much plot to speak of, but the characterizations were
excellent and the humor was classic. On the whole, this episode was
well-written. Grade: B.

Greg Lam: A-. Surprisingly good, especially the ending and dream
sequences. While predictable, the ending was much better than in
the similar "Round Springfield", emotional without being maudlin.
Good enough so I didn't regret missing an amazing ending to the
Baseball playoff game.

Nate Patrin: This episode kicked hairy yellow butt, right from the In-A-
Gadda-Da-Vida bit to the Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag bit (I've been
to restaurants like that and they frighten me) all the way to the
predictable-but-nice-anyway ending. I give it 9.0 out of 10.

Brandon Kremer: With the fantastic characterization and a good storyline
that didn't seem _too_ outrageous (a la Bart vs Australia), not to
mention some great writing, I'd have to give this one a 9.5/10.

Ricardo Lafaurie: An all-time great for me, ranks above "Duffless".
Yeah, there were some scenes that wound out (the "hymn" and Homer
trying to get Moe's attention) but some of the stuff was _classic_.
I also liked the way Sherri and Terri said "We're twins," and the
Uncle Moe commercial was priceless. My grade: A.

Tony Hill: This was fairly decent, considering the sentimental ending.
Bart's struggle was actually rather heroic. The best line was
Bart's pleading, "you traded my soul for POGS?!" I thought about
that line while driving immediately after the ep and laughed so
much, I nearly had to pull over. Grade A.

If you watch the Simpsons only for laughs, then you are missing out on a
great deal of wonderful things. the simpsons touch on much broader realms
of life and death, love and family, and pop culture and many issues which
have nothing to do with "comedy." look deeper into the simpsons. the
dream sequence last week [in "Bart Sells His Soul"] is one of the
greatest moments in animation history. the Simpsons is ART. Look beyond
the cheap laughs.

The worst one has got to be where Krusty find his dad. It just doesn't really
go anywhere and isn't particularly funny

NO!! Homer meeting Mindy was a great episode!!
It had two classic parts that I can remember.
One is when Homer is telling him to think unsexy thoughts...
First he thinks of Patty and Selma shaving their legs...unsettling, but not
particularly funny...
but then, he imagines Barney in a bikini singing the "I Dream of Jeannie"
theme.
Very obscure, and bizzare, I often laugh out loud just thinking of Barney
going "Buuh Dat, Dat da da da dum, Buuh dat, dat da da da dum..."
And when Homer is singing his own version of "Mandy" '
Homer: Oh Mindy, you came and you gave without flaking, so I sent you Ben
Gay...Oh Andy, you kissed me and stopped my from something..."
Lisa: What are you singing.
Homer: (thinking) Lie, think of a lie
Homer: I've got a small part in an of Broadway Musical, it's not much, but
it's a start!
Homer: (thinking) Bravo...(slow clapping...)

Although you can go over any episode and find parts that were
really funny - but I'll have to agree that I would list
this show at the bottom.

Its hard to believe people would call that the worse episode. I thought
it was very funny.

Especially the parts about Moe's Family Feed Bag.

Disagree...isn't this the one with football in the groin and that great
scene of Barney at the girl scout meeting thinking it's AA?

IMHO, I think the episode when Homer goes back to college is the worst (though
the stills they show during the credits were hilarious).

Yes! When Scratchy was about to get revenge on Itchy, and the TV
suddenly went blank:
Bart and Lisa (with tongues flapping): SHRIIIEEEKK!!!
Nerds: Sorry, we needed that outlet for our rock tumbler.
B&L: PUT IT BACK ON! PUT IT BACK ON!!
Nerd: What? The TV or the rock tumbler?
B&L: THE TV! THE TV!!
[Nerd puts TV back on]
Krusty (on TV): WOW!! They'll NEVER let us show THAT one again!
Never, never! Not in a million years!!

There were so many great quotes from that episode! How could you not like it?

Krusty: Let's just say it moved me...TO A BIGGER HOUSE!!! Oh no, I said
the loud part quiet and the quiet part loud.

As well as a whole lot more great quotes. Plus, the Oscar Mayer wiener
song, God saying, "Okaly Dookaly" to Ned after He saves Rod, and a whole
lot more!!!

I suggest that you watch it again, because you obviously missed all the
good parts.

Hands down (or finger down throat) the worst episode of Simpsons ever was that
blatent enviro-nazi, show that featured that washed up former Beatle pushing
the line of vegitarian products that his wife sells. The show was preachy,
stupid, not funny, just one long boring radical enviro-nazi propiganda flick.
