Bart Simpson in Basic Instinct

Hi,
I'm fairly new to this group so I don't know if this
has been discussed before. But in "Basic Instinct" there are lot of
scenes where the keychain of Bart seems to have some kind of
symbolism. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what Bart
represented in the movie.

For example in there's a scene where Jeannie Tripplehorn,
the police psychologist, tries to give Mike Douglas his keys back.
While she's holding them Bart is conspicously dangling from the keychain.

And towards the end when Doulgas searches Triplehorn's body for
a weapon he pulls out the keys with Bart attached. Then he drops the
keychain and starts crying. Then an extreme closeup/slow motion fall of
Bart Simpson and the keys falling to the floor.
Does anyone have any ideas??

Oh, I think it was just a way to identify the keychain, so when you saw
it again, you would know it was that specific set of keys.

Bart being a big popular cultural symbol and all... :-)
