I remember that they own Johnny Calhoun's controversial THESE THINGS I
BELIVE album, a tape by Allan Sherman, and albums with almost no bass
(Tiny Tim, Vienna Boys Choir, etc.)
I know Homer was into 1970s rock, especially Queen and Grand Funk. And
in 1969, he listened to "Yummy Yummy Yummy" by the Ohio Express instead
of watching the moon landing. (Years later, Homer danced to "Short
Shorts" by the Royal Teens while his family was at church. Whether he
owns the single, or whether the song was just playing on the radio, I
don't remember.)
Has anyone ever bothered to chronicle the Simpson family's music collection?
(I wonder if Lisa Simpson ever got her SAX ON THE BEACH album back from
that radio station.)

Kevin A. Bowman (kevin....@taft.law.uc.edu) has compiled such a list
and has posted it last April 9th to a.t.s. I believe he's currently
looking for contributions.

Inside, I stare at all the wild posters and sniff my first incense. I'm
transfixed by this new world, and barely notice the hippies snickering at
my Boy Scout uniform. Finally, I buy an album with the coolest name --
The Grateful Dead. And that's when I begin my escape....

Don't forget:
Meet the B-Sharps and B-Sharps Bigger than Jesus

In Whacking Day, Lisa was rifling through the collection looking for
something with a lot of bass to attract the snakes to their home. I
remember 'Tiny Tim' and 'The Chipmunks' and a couple others that
obviously wouldn't have had much (any) bass in them. I don't remember
the names of them though.

How about "The Best of Ray Stevens, Featuring The Streak"

you must also include: "A Castrato Christmas" and "The Chipmunks
Greatest Hits" (from the wacking day episode).
There's got to be some Grateful Dead records in there; very likely
Europe 72. In the episode where Lisa is sick and is sewing her patch to
the family quilt, Marge's patch has the foot on the inside cover of this
album, with "Keep on truckin" above it...
Lisa says, what does that mean?
Marge: I have no idea...
Dipping into the electric Kool-Aid, that Marge!!
