To all my a.t.s. friends, Merry Christmas...

...and a Happy Chanukah, a Kwazy Kwanz Kwanzaa, a tip-top Tet, and a
solemn, dignified Ramadan.

For what? He was already late for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa doesn't start till
after Christmas, I thought Ramadan had come earlier this year. The
Vietnam New Years isn't till sometime in January or February.

I've given up celebrating it. When I was younger, and there were still
record stores, there was an appeal to getting out "early" on Boxing Day
("early" in quotes since the stores aren't allowed to open till 1pm that
day) and buying records on sale. But it seems like there's less bargain,
certainly less of that "buy now or you won't see such a great deal until
next Boxing Day". I get the impression a lot of stores set things up now
to get lineups, the flyers even state that the really low priced items
are limited to "3 per store" or whatever, which then gets the lineups
and causes others to lineup, create the appearance of a great sale.

But now that Boxing Day is almost a week in the past, how is next
year looking so far?

It is much the same in Australia.

Looking pretty good here in Van Dieman's Land so far... a bit on the
warm side though. Can't wait for winter to be honest :)

Happy new year everyone.

He also forgot about the Solstice ... And after all, it's the reason
for the season. (Yes, I know, the Christians say that about Christ,
but they stole it from the pagans. Besides, there was winter BEFORE
Christ was born, right?, and the solstice is why it gets so cold in
the northern hemisphere this time of year.)
